Conspiracy theory

What if Malc and his boys want the shares to collapse, so they can buy them back via a 3rd party at a much cheaper price.
Would make zero sense.

OK.

Unless they plan another future float. ;-) And so on.

If they wanted another float they would wish for strong and high prices.

Just to keep fresh in our minds the thinking of that drunk pisscan before the wankfest over RVP starts.

Ferguson: We invest in youth, City pay silly money
(AFP) Tuesday 15 May 2012

Sir Alex Ferguson said on Monday he wasn't concerned by rivals and newly-crowned Premier League champions Manchester City's ability to out bid Manchester United in the transfer market.

United lost out on successfully defending their title solely on goal difference to City on Sunday when two injury-time goals saw City to a 3-2 win over QPR and their first league crown in 44 years.

However, Ferguson said that he was not going to be forced into a change of transfer policy because of losing out to their city rivals and would stick to investing in young talent while Abu Dhabi-owned City spent huge amounts on established players.

We invest in players who will be with the club for a long time, who will create the character of the club and the excitement for our fans. We are good at that and we are going to continue that way.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson

"We know City are going to spend fortunes, pay stupid money and silly salaries. We know that happens. We can't do anything about that," the 70-year-old told MUTV at the United player of the year dinner.

"We are not like other clubs who can spend fortunes on proven goods. We invest in players who will be with the club for a long time, who will create the character of the club and the excitement for our fans. We are good at that and we are going to continue that way."
Ferguson, who is believed to be targeting two stars from Borussia Dortmund's successful Bundesliga title defence Japanese international Shinji Kagawa and Polish star Robert Lewandowski, said there was no need for a large scale overhaul of his squad.

This despite finishing without a trophy, being knocked out of the UEFA Champions League at the group stage and letting an eight point lead over City in early April slip.

"We have set out our stall for certain players and we want to make sure the evolution continues at United," said Ferguson. "I have been at the club for 25 years and I have to maintain a certain standard that keeps us there all the time.

"We don't always win it because we are always there, which is great credit to how we view things. But there is nothing materially wrong with us. I know there are some critics but we got 89 points."

Really...could we see a crash ??
Down nearly 4% the first day the underwriters have stopped buying them all up. I can't see it rebounding any time soon.

Why would it [they]? The shares wont be paying a dividend anytime soon, so you end up investing capital into something that is depreciating - absolute zero return, even worse your capital that you would have invested is worth less.

I can't believe anyone would have been so stupid, maybe thats why they floeated in the US?

Will be interesting to see how they fare should they have a bumpy start to the season, most sensible investors (that have been stupid enough to buy them) will bail out and cut their losses.

Err, they won't ever be paying a dividend.

a dividend????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The collective orgasm over RVP to United continues:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/city-beware--this-is-the-equivalent-of-uniteds-cantona-coup-8053916.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/foot ... 53916.html</a>

City beware – this is the equivalent of United's Cantona coup
Van Persie signing is statement of intent from United that kills off any lingering Arsenal threat.

Ferguson has been talking a lot also, about them suddenly being as good as the treble side of 1999. We'll see. I think late last season teams started giving them a real go. Arsenal are not as weak as you'd think.....will be a competitive season, but the general consensus in the media seems to be that RVP has put Man U in the drivers seat for the title.

RVP

Where are they going to play him? In their normal 4-4-1-1 formation, would they slot him behind or in front of Rooney? Then where would Kagawa play? A central midfield pairing of Kagawa and Carrick could work against lower/mid table teams, but for the top teams in England and Europe with solid midfields it would be ridiculously simple to overrun. If they move Kagawa out to the wing (not his natural position and not where he wants to play) then you have to sit two of Young, shit MJ and Valencia, all of whom would provide more from the wing.

I've been reading that baconface might revert back to the 4-3-3 with Welbeck, Rooney and VP up top which might work, but with the number of out and out wingers they have that formation doesn't suit their squad at all. And like the 4-4-1-1 with Kagawa and Carrick centrally, the midfield would be completely exposed.

VP is a top player no doubt, but signing him with no obvious place in the team and signing Kagawa in the same window just shows baconfaces desperation to oust us as champions.

Bring on the new season.

The way Arsenal goes about selling both Song and RVP, means they are as confident and ready they are going to replace and strengthen.
