I imagine they would line up like this:

---------------de Gea-------------

Valencia--Ferdinand---Vidic----Evra

----------Carrick--Anderson-------

Nani----------Rooney-------Kagawa

----------------RVP----------------

Perhaps the Everton game may come to soon and Welbeck will be over RVP and possibly Young over Nani.

The other question mark is Scholes/Anderson. I know the natural thought would be Scholes but listening to them lot, they're impressed with Anderson in the latter part of pre season and think Scholes may be brought on around the hour mark in some games when the opposition are tiring a little so he can ping crossfield balls.

I'm still sceptical about CM for them but maybe they are trying to adopt a KK approach where it's a case of we'll score more than you.
Can't see Vidic and Ferdinand playing regularly and I think they'll sign a left back. Evra was poor last season. I don't think Anderson will play many games either. They're still short of a dominant midfielder.

How much money do they have spare after signing RVP? do they see an instant return from the shares or will it be a while yet?

Wenger did an interview and said"we had to sell him to utd they were the only team that would pay the price we wanted".
Seems we had sniff at £15 million then watched the price go up.
Fuckin wilkins and his cronies ripping us over taking a young English player from Everton & going to ruin him because he wont play, how the fuck does he know
Like chelski or the rags haven't fucked young players up.

this IPO thread is like two Aboriginals trying to teach Swahili to an abattoir of swinging carcasses. Or like two men speculating on the weight of a cow, which is 200 yards away, with only maltesers as the unit of measurement. And about as significant as a man finding a peanut down the back of a sofa, in Milton Keynes...or a pigeon dreaming about snooker...

And although tonight's walk in the park saddened me, as the leaves already seem to be falling from the trees, THANK JESUS MARY AND ALL THE FOOKIN SAINTS, THAT THE FOOTBALL SEASON STARTS IN TWO DAYS TIME!

eot

Those Aboriginals....were they werthers ??
That would all depend on whether it was an African Swallow or a European Swallow.

But can they fly laden with a coconut.??

-- Fri Aug 17, 2012 5:30 pm --

He was also on BBC Breakfast this morning and kept talking about 'us' with the rags and giving City very little chance of retaining the title. I was very annoyed with him. If he is now saying we have a 'fantastic' squad maybe someone has had a word during the morning and told him that we are the best team!!

But I was so pleased at Rodney Marsh who reckons that the rags signing RVP is 'an act of desperation'!! Gotta love that man.

Schmeichel said earlier in the year that the scum would win the title and he also said that old trafford never empties out b4 the final whistle..

wrong on both counts...

0-2 in our favour.

That will be Ray "Hiccup" Wilkins. Thinking on from this, that "good for you sir" comment, is the standard phrase for your typical country pub drunk.

Giving their new striker the 20 shirt is no doubt a little ploy to get the media in a spin over the "20th title" target and how it's some kind of master stroke by Slur Alex.

Forget it. The defence and midfield can be got at. They may find the GD better than ours but I can see us finishing 6/7points ahead of them

I really doubt that.

GD is as important as winning, I hope we are as ruthless as we can be, we can always be nice after the game don't want to see us easing up on opponents kill them off.

1999

Sir Taggart stated

"In 1999 I had Dwight Yorke, Andy Cole, Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the four best strikers in Europe.

No you didn't. In this country, there was Alan Shearer, for one.

Please add to the list.
