More great news,it seems he has been the 'mastermind' behind their recent success.

I honestly can't see the Neverton boys recreating a similar enviroment and legacy.

Obviously the Rags aren't going to disappear anytime soon but i believe us and Chelski will be the main boys from here on in.

It may be that he has little faith in gollum and is jumping ship with his reputation in tact, I don't think it's possible to underestimate the role that red nosed piss can had at the swamp and just how difficult it will be to replace him. I can see at least 3 seasons of decline with moyes. Not through any fault of his but purely down to whiskey nose retiring.

I can see a lot of similarities between ferguson going and cloughie, unfortunately the rags won, t decline in the same way forest did.

Lets hope so, it is very reassuring to see the back room staff leave the swamp, I feel it could have serious implications on his success (or lack of).

Surprised really, it is as though the rags have removed the safety catch. If they had stayed under Moyes and it had gone tits up Baconface could have come out of retirement and stabilised things. Now without them there if Moyes goes so does his back room staff leaving nothing for the pisscan to work with, maybe it is a jelly Icecream and bouncy castle moment..

If we all haven't learnt from taking the mick of the rags, and saying moyes will be shit. Utd always seem to come out smelling of roses!!! I swear fergiscum sold his soul to the devil. I wouldn't be surprised if Gollum had a super start to the season. Hope im wrong but everytime we think there taking a nose dive they do the opposite.

They're yet to do it first time without Ferguson ;)

Oh yes! Meulensteen, the alleged 'secret weapon' behind United's overachieving in recent years, officially gone according to Dutch reports. This is great news, their coaching staff has been torn apart and it wasn't just Ferguson making the team work so well. It gets better... Moyes himself will lead training next season according to the same reports (most clubs have someone specialised to do this).

Without wanting to count one's chickens-and I do rate Moyes as a manager - these do seem positive developments. I appreciate Moyes wants his own men, but United always seemed exceptionally well drilled to me. Puzzling that you'd want to throw away the man who masterminded that.

darren can on twitter who does tend to get most things on united correct said something similar to this on ssaturday and said muelensteen wanted a fresh start

Muelensteen wanted the number 2 job and wasn't prepared to take up any position lower than that.

I've been told that his fresh start will probably end up being in the U.A.E where he has contacts. It was because of his contacts there that the rags went on training breaks there.
