Only the soundwave that graph creates says "oh shit".. :)

In this case, he's dead-on.

Who's Cramer?

He's a very high-strung investment adviser. He ran an investment fund which didn't do too well. Then he got his own TV show because he acts crazy while giving stock tips. Even he could see that this stock is awful.

What exactly is your Youtube post trying to prove? Considering Apple defeated the Zune... Leaving Cramer effectively right? To be honest analysts can be wrong but he understands basic business. And business with Man Utd is poor.

To show how crazy he is. He's taking a baseball bat to the Zune. Thought it was obvious.

I think that's the point. Utd charging Premiership prices for a League Cup game and more than half of it goes straight out of the club to pay the Glazers debt bills

A couple of bad seasons, and there wont be 60k turning up to pay it and the whole thing will come crashing down.
They always have, the posts I replied to were outraged at the prices as if they'd been increased or something. Indeed one speculated about price rises in later rounds.

I was just making people aware that they don't price games on an individual match basis. As for 60,000 I actually stated that Utd are unlikely to review the pricing structure as long as they continue to attract gates of 50,000 for league cup ties. Obviously if gates did drop drastically then I'm sure, like all clubs, they'd look at the prices to try and attract support. Whether gates will ever fall enough for that to happen is pure speculation. There's no evidence at the moment to support that prediction but who knows what will happen if /when Utd's bubble bursts?
I'm not really bothered if united charge the same price for the league cup as they do league games, its a sad inditement of the club for me (one of many), when its likely to be reserve teams on show.

I also think my point is valid, I would expect an increase in price for a later round especially if it was against us or say Liverpool, (unless its a 2 legged semi final when there has to be an agreement between clubs).

If there was then a boycott by the away team, united still have to pay the away club the gate receipts, regardless of how many tickets the away team sell, so if none of the gate receipts come from away fans, then united are effectively doubling their loss on away fans by charging stupid prices. I know its not a lot of money in the grand scheme of things, but I'm sure united would quickly get sick of paying the away club gate receipts, if no away fans turned up, especially if every club followed suit (however unlikely that is).

As someone has already touched on, the attendances at the swamp for cup matches is bound to remain high, as season-ticket holders are obliged to join ALL the cup schemes, and you're not going to pay for something and then not bother taking it up, are you?

However, if, as has also been mentioned, there are a few more trophy less seasons, ST sales may continue to decline, and consequently therefore cup attendances.

-- 08 Sep 2012, 20:18 --

such a shame, you have to feel sorry for the wee lad, and his legions of fans

I know.

It's terrible for poor Duncan.

How will scum, and England cope without everyone's favourite Stan Laurel lookalike for all that time?

;-)

You say there's no evidence but Utd still have season tickets up for sale and match day tickets are on sale up until the week of the game. Demand is just enough to sell out league games at the moment.

But only following a massive sales and marketing exercise - via the radio, press, mass mailshots, corporate packages hard sell etc. - for every single game.
