I'm surprised by moyes' comments about the mata signing, "I'm thrilled. I got wind a month or so ago that it could be a possibility. I never really believed I'd pull it off. Congratulations to the club and Ed Woodward for getting it done." He's a decent enough player but looking at that you'd think they'd just signed Messi. It really doesn't appear to have sunk in with him that he isn't Everton manager anymore.

Ed Woodward never pulled it off, the deal was done between GPC Gill and the Russian

I have never heard a manager congratulating the CEO and the club publicly over doing the basics of their job. I sense a smell of fear on Moyes part that he will have to suck a lot of cock if he wants to keep his job
