It certainly does. It's annoying that they look like they're well on track to smash the goals-scored record in the Premier League. Probably by some margin. Yuck.
That doesn't matter a fuck as far as I'm concerned. Clubs like United, Liverpool and Arsenal represent the true heritage of the English game and have won honours the moral way.

I can see City's successes having a huge asterisk beside them when the Sheikhs have been and gone.

Hollow.
If ever there was an axis of evil. I fucking love not being part of that group of self-serving, hypocritical, degenerate clubs.

I love how the tables have turned, they used to pull this stuff on us all the time but now roles have kind of reversed and we can legitimately throw it at them ;)

Just a quick message for our lurking rags. (Numbers are dropping though)

It must be fucking killing you at the moment. Ferguson has gone, your team is shit and we are twatting every side put in front of us playing amazing football.

How times do change eh? Worst thing for you though is seems you're in for a few really barren years.

Ah well.

I know it shouldnt matter about what the bitter idiots say, but that has made my piss boil. What have they done the moral way to win things? Baconface bullying refs, as good as bribing refs, Magnier and that racehorse, mortgaging the tits off the business, having friendly managers recall loan players, etc etc.
What a bunch of stupid cnuts, honestly.

"The moral way to win honours"

(1) be in the right place at the right time, i.e. have a good team just as (a) Sky TV puts a huge amount of money into the English game and (b) the champions league puts even more money into 3 or 4 elite teams. And when I say 'have a good team' I mean 'create a good team by spunking £20m on new players (about £250m by current standards) if possible without blushing when City spank them 5-1.'

(2) create a cartel where nobody outside the cartel has the economic resources to compete in terms of player recruitment.

(3) change the rules so that the cartel becomes impossible to enter even by teams with huge amounts of financial backing.

(4) establish offshore holding company to ensure as little money as possible is contributed to the UK economy

(5) watch the honours roll in!

(6) oh, and by the way, take £25m out of the game every year and use it to top up personal pension fund whilst criticising owners of other clubs from introducing money into the game (and the UK economy).

when they pull the funding City will drop like a stone in water. How are they going to keep their players or wage bill? They will run up huge losses as soon as the interest ends.

Oh Bless.

Same lol thread...

"They wont. Their best players will sooner or later realize that the honour is really in winning titles with the likes of United, Barca, Real, Bayern, Juve and Milan. "
Clinging on to any crumb that will give them comfort, the penny has dropped and the realisation is that for them we could dominate like they did for twenty odd years....

FFP means no one can take over a second-rate club like city were and just pump money in.

If there is anyone out there who wants to buy success there are only three or four clubs they could go for, one of which stands out head and shoulders above the others. Us. Imagine if we had owners who put money in rather than take it out.

Arf!

Which is a bit of a sea change, used to be the players weren't good enough, now they are but deluded.

Not unlike the, "you can't buy success" became, "it's not fair that you bought success", of course now it's been downgraded to, "you can't buy history", well actually you can, as the teams these people support have shown, if you spend more than the opposition consistently you will win things, and by default have "history".

I think the whole "history" thing and "real clubs" is not only grossly ignorant but incredibly disrespectful to all football fans. Should we applaud a kid from Devon for supporting the team he thinks has the greatest chance of winning or his mate that spends years being mocked for following Exeter through thick or thin.

Unless you can actually see Old Trafford, Anfield or Highbury from your bedroom window as a 6 year old ask yourself a question, why do I support this "real club", the answer invariably is because they needed to feel part of someone else's success, due to their own inadequacies. The problem arises when the only way you can feel good about yourself is being part of a group of "winners" who stop winning. You are left with your own failings and nothing else to protect you. The only remedy for this seems to be an outbreak of hysteria on the Internet and then defection to another team.

Any blues as old or older than me have no danger of falling into that category thankfully as by the time City reach the point where they have been good for more years than bad, ill be dead.

Hope that's a long time off for you Blue - I'm 65 myself so I'm hoping that I won't see us falling into that category any time soon!

The hypocrisy of the utd fans regarding money and football is really beginning to boil my piss

Ah well.

Not really. Most of the match-goers I associate myself with are doing that black-humour-laughing-at ourselves thing at the moment. You know, the we are staying up chants and that!
I'm sure that will change and my mood will darken should the'really barren' years materialise though but for now it's all good.
I'm all for letting Moyes get on with the job of booting out some of the over-paid wasters: Anderson ( gone ), Young, Cleverley, Buttner, RVP. See how many bite with the RVP one.
Then hopefully bring is some World class talent like Mata, Ronaldo, Schweinsteiger etc.. Another fishing expedition with Ronaldo and Schweiney

Never mind the RvP one, the most telling on your list is Tom Cleverley. Wasn't he the next Zidane not 12 months ago?

Deluded if you think you're going to win anything with Moyes in charge.

Match going rags I know are generally sound pal.

It's the manyoo fans from Kent or Devon under say 35 who have never known anything but success. Their heads must be twatted...... this being totally crap is not why they signed up.
