Have you seen Bob Crowe's expense account?
It's all relative. I can only imagine the havoc you would wreak with the expense account of Bluemoon.
In my first job in sales they used to keep a chart of the highest expense accounts in the company at head office. I never left the top five out of a national sales force of over 150.

I've always wanted to put that on my CV.

Was it updated annually, quarterly or monthly?

Weekly. This was over a two year period from 1994-1996. Not that I'm keeping count.

I've always wanted to put that fact on my CV.

But never dared?

No. I was always told to keep it below two sides of A4.

That is a genuine achievement then. If it was only annual, you could quite easily binge your way to success but kudos for your consistency.

Given the nature of the job and the sector I was in (which I know you know) it wasn't without some merit! ;-)

No. I was always told to keep it below two sides of A4.

I participated in an interview process for a shop manager in Barnet with a regional manager and a secondment shop manager. We held interviews for the vacancy and a sharp retail manager in his mid 40's came in for his interview. His C.V was 4 pages long and stacked, my regional manager said "This is quite long, couldn't you have condensed it?". The fella never missed a beat and said "How does one condense qualifications and wealth of experience to just two pages, it simply isn't sufficient." Right there and then he was my vote. Sharp response from a sharp guy.

My regional manager didn't give him the job, I suspect he didn't fancy the threat. The recession threw up many over qualified personnel, an employers market for sure.

Re: United thread 2013/14

Anyway, back to Bob. I would say that he's missing a chip when it comes to supporting a football club.

Me and my dad - one a blue and the other a red ( can you guess which is which) - both " hate" the other's club. We love it when they lose, we love poking fun at their mistakes and we each think that our club is by far the most virtuous. We argue about it night and day and we both take genuine pleasure in mocking the other about it.

In many ways it's a phony war, but a hugely enjoyable one too. I love my dad and I know he loves me and we've got a proper sense of perspective when it comes to life and what really matters, but that doesn't make our hate any least"real" and enjoyable. I wouldn't have it any other way and you really are missing out on what it means to be a football fan if you can't leave logic at the door and let a little bit of blind loyalty take hold of you.

It's fucking brilliant Bob. You really should try it sometime.

If I can make my CV two pages, I would suggest that pretty much anyone can.
