Me and my dad - one a blue and the other a red ( can you guess which is which) - both " hate" the other's club. We love it when they lose, we love poking fun at their mistakes and we each think that our club is by far the most virtuous. In many ways it's a phony war, but a hugely enjoyable one too. I love my dad and I know he loves me and we've got a proper sense of perspective when it comes to life and what really matters, but that doesn't make our hate any least"real" and enjoyable. I wouldn't have it any other way and you really are missing out on what it means to be a football fan if you can't leave logic at the door and let a little bit of blind loyalty take hold of you.
