They keep repeating the importance of learning one lesson from the past whilst completely ignoring another.
The time Ferguson was originally given to get it right is a fact we had shoved down our throats for 25 years as we sacked manager after manager. How fitting it would be to see them hang themselves by applying this approach to the wrong manager.
Whilst at the same time seemingly ignoring the most relevant lesson from their past, which is what happened after their other managerial legend, Busby, left. Wilf McGuiness, a Busby man, took over the reigns and was totally out of his depth, though seemingly a decent bloke.

Got to say that was really nice seeing Newcastle beat the Rags . The joy of seeing all those unhappy Rags . I think I might watch it over and over again . It was that good .
