The reality has hit them, they've been spoilt for too many years to mention, all they've known is winning and teams rolling over for them, the shock of getting a shit manager has them frozen stiff with fear, they know it,we know it and the footballing world know it that their reign is dying a slow, painful death...
And instead of them rolling their sleeves up and getting behind their shite team, they havn't got a scoobies how too, defeat isn't the rags dna and now we're reaping the rewards with them ringing radio shows, leaving with 10mins to go,booing their players......
Welcome to the real world you bragging gobshites....
The timing of the sheikh coming to us,the timing of fergie retiring,it's as if it was all planned well in advance by the footballing gods...
IMWT.

I thought their struggles might generate a bit of response from Utd fans, and that Old Trafford might be a bit noisy for one for the visit of Newcastle, but it sounded very quiet on the TV.
They're not used to supporting a struggling team though are they? Previously if they'd have gone a goal down, they'd have upped the tempo and battered the opposition. More often than not they'd have scored, the way they did against Stoke earlier this season. That would have lifted the crowd but that's gone from their game now.

I'm just Loving this.....they're discussing the replacement manager on RAG Cafe

With everyone wanting Moyes out who do you think we could realistically bring in without getting stuck into the manager merry-go-round?

Guardiola is at Bayern. Zero Chance.
Mourinho is at Chelsea. Zero Chance.
Kloop is at Dortmund. Zero Chance.

Beyond those three, I can't think of anyone who I'd feel confident could take on this club.

Like any of them would go to a mid table club anyway.........and you know who the popular choice is

You guessed it

Slur Alex!

Reality is also starting to sink in and some are talking of relegation

Unfortunately we haven't hit rock bottom. We can sink much, much lower. Relegation for example. Unlikely but possible especially when are simply playing terribly. If we don't pick up point then come the end of the season there may be a player exodus and we can't replace the departing quality. We sink lower yet again.
The situation we are in is about as life and death as you can get in football. There's no guarantee United will just get better. We can still sink lower.

F*ckin loving it

There was a sudden change of emphasis this weekend.

On Wednesday, having lost to Everton, Moyes declared they could still win the title.

After the Newcastle result, he started peddling the "this is a transition season" and that the players understand what he's trying to implement etc.

So Davey, the players understand that you're trying to turn them from Champions into mid-table obscurity?

The gamble on Moyes is backfiring spectacularly. Long may it continue.

They need to win 4 of the next 5 (or win 3 and draw the other 2) to stay in touch & stand a chance of top 4. It really is crunch time for them from now up to New Years Day.
Can see Villa doing them.
I believe one of their up-coming fixtures is Norwich, which they should win.
Not sure of the others.
They've got West Ham & Spurs at home. You can see them potentially dropping points against Spurs.

Then they've got Villa, Norwich & Hull away. They could struggle in all of those the way they're playing at the moment, particularly Hull, although you'd expect them to do OK at Norwich.
