Seriously if they have got a £150M war chest like the papers are saying, I still don't think it's enough for them to challenge us, Chelsea or Arsenal.

It's enough though to blow Southampton and Newcastle out of the water and give the Mickey sides and Spurs a run for fourth spot.

It sounds like some faded Hollywood actress trying to convince themselves that their next, big role to relaunch their faltering career is just around the corner.

Her agent keeps telling her its just a matter of time, without actually delivering anything of substance.

Fair play to Moyes though. He managed to say all that without using the word "romance" once.

In which case he shouldn't have any problem persuading the likes of Rooney and van Pussy to stay, nor bringing in top names in this window or the next. I'm sure they'd all turn down better wages and CL football at City or Chelsea, just for the opportunity to play for the World's Biggest Club TM and the Chosen One TM.
Wouldn't be holding my breath if I supported that shower. Some of them still haven't quite figured out where all this is possibly going to end up though. Others seem to be gradually realising what may come to pass in the next few years, and they aren't liking it. Ask Liverpool how easy it is when you lose CL football. 'Istree means eff all these days to modern players, for better or worse.
