So i read in the paper this morning that Moyes recons United aren't just the biggest club in the country, but the WORLD!

He said he can't believe the big name players that all want to play for united, and that money is normally the only reason they would sign for someone else (a dig at us i can't help but feel)

He also believes that united are still contenders for the league this year!!

Couldn't help but thin that that lad has been in slur alex's whisky cabinet and had one too many!

Nail on the head Churchill,DELUDED idiot springs to mind !!

Moyes insists the world's best are still forming a queue to join Man United

‘Some players go for the money at other clubs but, if you ask them where they really want to be, they want to wear the badge of Manchester United, not only the biggest club in this country but in the world.

I know we were the world champions at shooting one's self in the foot for a good while but Wee Davey is trying his best to nick our trophy.

Has Alan Partridge taken over as manager from Moyes overnight?

Nice piece of propaganda from SKY there. "Utd come here as the in form away team. 5 wins in the last 6".

Neither true in the League (4 from 6) or all comps (4 from 6).

Meanwhile City are 5 from 6 in all comps including Bayern Munich (a)

So no SKY, Utd are not the "in form away team".

Even if people thought United were the biggest club in the world and all the best players ignored the fact they have David Moyes as manager, an ageing squad who are currently 14 points adrift of the top of the league. Nobody can convince me the Glazers will loosen their purse strings an allow this no mark to spend their money

Even before Roman took over, Chelsea were a moderately successful club. The arrival in the late 90s of gullit, di matteo, vialli and Zola helped to raise their profile and they won a few fa cups and the cup winners cup. So they weren't exactly like City. However in terms of where they stood in the pecking order of their own city they were very much 2nd behind Arsenal and in terms of support base they were miles behind the likes of Spurs, Arsenal and arguably west ham. That's changed dramatically over the last 10 years, not only do chelsea have their traditional fan base but they are also the go-to team now for the nouveau riche middle-class football fan.

Young players who are 19/20 years old have grown up seeing chelsea under Mourinho and winning titles with Ancelotti. To them they are every bit as attractive a prospect as playing for United or Arsenal. A decade of hyper investment under their belt and they are as good as the already 'established' big clubs.

The fact that a club like Ajax are spoken of in such dismissive and condescending terms in comparison to a financially-doped club like City tells you everything you need to know. "Who cares about Ajax, their glorious history and their wider contribution to modern football, City are playing real-life championship manager with a cheat code lolz" Everything is about the 'now'. Whatever happened before, doesn't matter in the eyes of media and football journos. Unless of course it involves liverpool fans dying or United scoring against sheff weds

This will never be brought into context. All this hyper investment in the premier league must at all times be presented as a great thing, never let reality get in the way of flogging 'the product', for example you'll never hear Tyler or anyone on Sky saying:

"You have to feel for Clubs like Tottenham and Everton who are run within their means as they've been cheated out of potential Champions league places by being leap frogged by billionaire funded clubs who otherwise wouldn't have been anywhere near the top 4"

I like the highlighted bit a lot :)
Their sympathy for Spurs and Everton always amuses me, as they've routinely raided them for their best players over the last decade, forcing them to sell to united after turning the heads of those players, thus preventing those clubs from joining the.....errrr........... Champions League places.

I think these fuckers actually believe the shite that they spout.

I also particularly liked:

Whatever happened before, doesn't matter in the eyes of media and football journos

Which is deluded beyond words,

That said - his pain and tears provide a wonderful cocktail of joy to my heart.
