Spurs and Everton were two of the five clubs that demanded the ending of the sharing of ticket revenues and the setting up of the PL. Their problem was their lack of avarice or their inability to capitalise on the financial advantage that gave them.gordondaviesmoustache said:Their sympathy for Spurs and Everton always amuses me, as they've routinely raided them for their best players over the last decade, forcing them to sell to united after turning the heads of those players, thus preventing those clubs from joining the.....errrr........... Champions League places.

He said he can't believe the big name players that all want to play for united, and that money is normally the only reason they would sign for someone else (a dig at us i can't help but feel)
He also believes that united are still contenders for the league this year!!
Couldn't help but thin that that lad has been in slur alex's whisky cabinet and had one too many!
Even if people thought United were the biggest club in the world and all the best players ignored the fact they have David Moyes as manager, an ageing squad who are currently 14 points adrift of the top of the league. Nobody can convince me the Glazers will loosen their purse strings an allow this no mark to spend their money
I thought he did well with Microphone head..

Be interesting in say about 10 - 15 years how many fans from Manchester and Greater Manchester will support city bearing in mind by then we will have womens football as well as mens football at the top. (hopefully)
If you were a 10 year old and had a free choice who would you support?

Well of course top players want to play for us. We're the biggest and most famous club in the world, with the most glorious history and aura.
We've already got a wonderful group of young players ready to take us into the next challenge, and we've got a young, hungry manager leading us.
It must be a mouthwatering prospect for a talented, world-class player who isn't solely motivated by money to join United and become a part of such an institution, particularly during the exciting post-Ferguson years.
