How long before Mata becomes a graduate of "Dive Academy".
Never takes them long.

Rags complete £37.1 million Mata signing.
So let's just get this straight; scum paid more than half as much again as we did for YaYa and Merlin?

Mata not worth 37 million, but for 27 million would be a great signing. Not getting into your last team means nothing. Yaya Toure could not get into his last team and he is the best midfielder in the Premiership. Certain managers don't like certain players or certain players don't fit into their style no matter how good they are. Yaya easily a better player than Buschets, but the latter was from the academy and was a better fit for the role required.Helmet Cole said:£37m is quite a lot of money for a player that couldn't get a game for his last team.
Yep Mata probably would have gone for about 27 million or so in the summer maybe less, because of the situation. Now they have got a big wage of the books and an extra 10 million to spend. As long as Moyes is in charge it shouldn't prove too costly.BlueMoonz1977 said:supercrystal7 said:They overpaid by 10 million, but the transfer market has moved on. Mourinho has exploited the situation that manure have found themselves in - Mata needed the move as he has stated he needs to get into Spain's WC squad this summer. They had to appease the rag hordes due to hapless defence of the title
this is what happens when teams inflate transfer fees to stupid levels by overspending on players.Helmet Cole said:£37m is quite a lot of money for a player that couldn't get a game for his last team.
Copying City on this one, probably build the team around him, will be their silva, long way and a lot of money to go.jake28 said:Quality signing for them, who gives a shit if they paid more than he is worth...that remains to be seen but a twice player of the year at Chelsea and stats similar to Merlin's I'm not sure they have overpaid.
