WANKFEST

They got a great result in the FA cup today, didnt concede, didnt lose. One of Davey's best performances.[/q

Certainly the best Saturday they have had in a long time - just checked and they didn't lose ground in the league either - Wee Davey has really cemented that 7th place for them........

Mata will be a decent signing for them, an upgrade on Kagawa i guess.

Problem is their priorities should be in that ageing defence, which receives no protection from a decent midfielder. Mata will undoubtedly improve their potency but happily they will be even more exposed, unless they spend another 100m behind him.

Bottom line is, a player of Mata's quality will improve the rags, but only if they play to his strengths.
Which, imo, is using his creativity in the centre of the park and in and around the box.
Currently, the way the rags play, he will be largely redundant. He'll be getting heading practice
in training.

mourinho has exploited the rags current demise to his advantage, he has sold a player for a great profit margin and also got rid of a player that he deemed not good enough

Now I am not saying Mata is crap, far from it, but mourinho does have a point. Mata is very good at going forward, but when without the ball he leaves a lot to be desired. And it was this major factor that allowed mourinho to eventually sell him. countless times he stated that Mata was not showing what was required in order to regain his place.

We all knew that the rags had to appease the fans after their shambolic season so far, and they see this as the answer. Yes it may give the team a boost, but lets not forget that he is going into a team that still has major problems in midfield and in defence. Throw in a manager that is tactically not that great as well and one that the majority of evrton fans I know were glad to see the back off.

Shrewd business by mourinho and that is all that is is. He could help them push on for that coverted 4th place, but if they achieve that, then it is down to the teams currently above them failing to take full advantage

Does it bother me, no and it shouldn't. The squad at old toilet is miles behind ours and they will have to spend a bloody fortune come the summer and that will be no guarantee that gollum will be able to manage them

Lets not forget that Mata was also worried about not being able to play in this summer's World Cup due to a lack of playing time this season, he basically had no option because neither us or arsenal were in for him anyway

All Twitter journos going gaga over Mata ......Utd will be in the mix for the title said one ........ deffo top 4 now said another ......Moyes says he is looking to sign a midfielder and left back before Friday ........ Luke Shaw and Vidal are the ones who have attracted money......Vidal has had money ploughed on him today....down to evens from 14-1

Has Mata's wages been quoted yet ? Whenever we sign a player they like to add the players wages to the transfer fee to make it sound like we spent even more money !!

Wankers gonna wank

Lets be honest, a world class CM and they'll have a wonderful front 6. This is the signing which unfortunately they can build on. If they get top 4 this year the bastards will never die.

After telling an Inter Milan fan once that Juventus were the 'Old Lady and would always be around', he replied that 'old ladies die'. Soon after Juve were relegated for match fixing and Inter won 5 league titles on the trot including the treble. Though I guess we have to kind of ignore what is happening now.

You are right though that with Mata they are highly likely to make top 4. No way Liverpool or Everton can hold them back. Only a fully fit, motivated Adebayor with the likes of Erikson and Lennon on fire might be able to do it.
