While last season was a joy for us we knew they would keep on spunking money at it until they improved, while looking at helping to bend the rules to widen that gap again to ensure it stays that way forever. They haven't suffered enough yet they need at least ten years of failure,at least!

A couple of points I'd pick up on here Paul.

Firstly, I agree that the intention is that the gap should remain that way forever. However, nothing remains the same forever and whatever they do to stay at the top will one day come back to haunt them but, more importantly, they don't need ten years of failure to suffer. They're already suffering.

Imagine the fear that must have led to the spending of quarter of a billion pounds to catch us up; imagine the fear that led them to display that banner for so many years; imagine the fear that led them to promote hastily drawn up rules to stop anyone else investing in their club; imagine the fear that means they have to put tehir "people" into every corner of every governing body to protect their interest.

Their whole edifice is constructed on fear and you see it in their fans' eyes. You can see it in the outpourings of their sycophants in the media. They have to win and to do that they have to to be the richest club and their biggest fear, the fear they have to live with every day of their sorry, sad lives is the fear of failure. As I have said before, our success has shown that there is nothing special about United, Arsenal and Liverpool. They are small-minded clubs with money driven by fear.

We've climbed from the bottom of the pile to the top of the mountain. We have nothing to fear. We've done it already, we can do it again. And the beauty of it is, knowing that makes them even more afraid.
I agree they need the sycophants in the media, that they're scared and that they know we won't be going away, but the Turtle has hit on a winning formula hence their climb up the table. It may have been a fluke, or result of injuries, but he's achieved it.
I'm fed up of hearing how they'll lose points against Liverpool or City or Arsenal yet they've won recent games against all three. And they are beating the mid and lower table teams, something we can't do any more.
Read the threads and they are lucky, but they are getting away with it week after week after week.
I'd love Chelsea to rip them a new one this weekend but Jose will park the bus as he did against us as he knows he won't be caught.
The energy of the rags was good on Sunday, the levels of skill weren't but that high energy performance was at the heart of the piss can's philosophy much of the time.
We need some of that energy to complement our higher levels of skill. We need the Duracell Bunny type player, but one who can play so Tevez not Dickov.
The rags would struggle if bog brush got cards for using his elbows, if several players got cards for screaming at the ref, if linesmen and refs opened their eyes. But that won't happen and their assaults won't be screened on a loop by Snakes News.
Meanwhile we have to ensure we spend wisely and hope they continue to mess up. We complain that our better players were all here before Burger-Stain and Pellers, their best - Mata and bog brush pre-date the Turtle. Let's hope he buys a couple more flops this summer.

What a brilliant post, Alec.

And it's not just the fear; they are still hurting from Agüerooooooooooooooo.

Three years on and it's still hurting as much as it did then.

STCs!

Inspiring words Alec, and all very true. As for the Aguerooooooo moment, I know how I would feel if the roles had been reversed - I'd NEVER get over it - hope it continues to hurt these red twunts for the rest of their lives. They'll never know the emotion of 93:20 and that makes it all the sweeter.

Wonderful :)

Have owned a few of the gloating fuckwits since Sunday. One or two on Facebook and a Salford residents forum I'm in for the old photos and memories.
The audible sighs of relief of 697m true fans are deafening. Never again will they be able to claim that Liverpool is a bigger game for them.

The scummy twats.

Lets not forget that this winning formula has come about by assembling an expensive squad, plus the added fact and most important one of LVG having shed loads of time on his hands as they have had no European distractions. If you ask me they should actually be doing a hell of lot better than they actually are, but they just seem to be really excited for the time being at being above us LOL

Add into the fact that now it has turned again because Klopp has called it a day and the majority of them are now shitting it in case he rocks up at our club next season

was talking to a rag the other day, and he's proper chuffed. 4/2 this and 4/2 that. so i said so you are pleased with your little selves, we are in the worse run of form for 6 years, the ref hands you 2 goals and you win a game at the swamp. about time. i wasn't ready though for the next bit, and i'm telling you he was serious, he said "i think we'll win the league now". after i gathered my composure and my laughing died down to a less audiable level i explained that i dont mind talking football but if you are not taking it serious i'm off. i left him shouting in the distance with a genuine hurt written on his face. he actually believed what he was saying.

How many Man U fans does it take to change a light bulb? Two. One to change the bulb, and the other to drive from Cornwall
