NO WAY shaw is on only 50k or tia maria on 150k...shaw i think is more than 100k and tia maria closer to 200k i believe

The Shaw wage looked a little low to me too, I thought I remembered the figure of £100,000 being mentioned last summer. However, given Jones and Smalling are "only" on £50,000 and £60,000 respectively then £50,000 for Shaw would fit.

I'm sure there was a slanging match between Mourinho and the turtle because mourinho said he pulled out of a deal to sign shaw because of his £120k a week wage demands...no?

That's based on the premise that everything that comes out of Mourinho's gob isn't self serving bullshit! Might be true, equally could be absolute crap. I suspect the £30m fee probably put him off more (or more accurately, put Chelsea's owners off) but he didn't want to say something like "we've not got as much money to spend as I'd like" so blamed the wages.

Real Madrid's Gareth Bale rules out Manchester United move

Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale has ruled out a move to Manchester United.
The Welshman, 25, had been linked with a move to Old Trafford, with goalkeeper David De Gea going the other way.
"I can't see myself at Manchester United," Bale told radio station Cadena SER. "I am enjoying myself and we are winning trophies. I want to continue doing this at Real Madrid."
Bale joined Real for an £85m world record fee in September 2013 and won the Champions League last season.

The former Tottenham player has been criticised by some sections of the Madrid supporters recently and was booed after failing to pass to Cristiano Ronaldo in a 3-0 win against Espanyol.
Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldo, who showed his frustration at being denied a tap-in at the time, later urged the club's fans to back his team-mate.
Bale said: "I feel the support of the Bernabeu. I am going to continue working to show what I am capable of doing on the pitch and so as to win more trophies.
"I don't think I'm greedy. On the pitch I make assists and score goals. I play the game how I like to play and the press can say what they want."
On his relationship with Ronaldo, the Wales international, who revealed he used to be an Arsenal fan, added: "There is no rivalry between us."
Bale, who has also won the Copa del Rey with Madrid, has scored 36 goals and provided 26 assists in his 72 matches for Real.

Snubbed.

Re: United Thread 2014/15

I am sat typing this in a darkened room with tears streaming down my face. It is a very sad day.

I have just seen on $$N that the Rags latest signing, Gareth 'Red Devil' Bale has announced he is happy at Madrid, he has a long contract and is wining trophies, his statement goes onto say he cannot see himself at the Rags.

WTF, has he not read the script? there is 4 days to go, he should not be saying things like that until Feb 1st.

Saw something online earlier today which purports to show the current wages of United's squad:-

(All wages are weekly)

David De Gea - £75,000
Anders Lindegaard - £40,000
Ben Amos - £10,000
Phil Jones - £50,000
Jonny Evans - £65,000
Chris Smalling - £60,000
Luke Shaw - £50,000
Marcus Rojo - £70,000
Rafael - £60,000
Daley Blind - £75,000
Marouane Fellaini - £80,000
Tom Cleverley - £70,000
Michael Carrick - £80,000
Anderson - £60,000
Darren Fletcher - £70,000
Juan Mata - £130,000
Ander Herrera - £80,000
Angel Di Maria - £150,000
Nick Powell - £10,000
Ashley Young - £118,000
Adnan Januzaj - £45,000
Antonio Valencia - £70,000
Wayne Rooney - £300,000
Robin Van Persie - £250,000
Rademal Falcao - £280,000
Angelo Henriquez - £10,000

Don't know about anyone else but the one that leaps out at me is Ashley Young is on £118,000 a week!!! Ashley Young!!!

Also worth noting that, of those players, Falcao, Anderson, Carrick, Cleverley, Fletcher and Amos are all out of contract in the Summer. Also worth noting that, if they want to keep them, then de Gea, Lindegaard, Jones, Evans, Smalling, Rafael, Powell, Young, Van Persie and Henriquez are all out of contract summer 2016, so there could well be some wage rises coming into play there.

But, seriously, Ashley Young is on £118,000 a week!!!!

I went in his house once - it was like being in hunny I shrunk the kids. It was 14,000 sq ft. Utterly ridiculous. SWP lived in it before him! Must have taken him an hour to walk upstairs.

You had time to measure it with the burglar alarm going off?

Hats off..cool customer

More fool them for agreeing to buy a season ticket under those T&Cs. If they organised a proper protest about it instead of just showing token support for Norwich that clause would be scrapped fairly quickly. Ah well, delighted to see the cunts get ripped off, go Glazers.
