Never a penalty, fellaini shoved the defender......herrera goal was fine IMO......yes rooney was offside, but didn't impede the keepers vision and didn't touch it.
Yes, but the keeper cannot dive untill it passes Rooney as he doesn't know if Rooney is going to touch it or not, he cannot commit untill it's too late. That's the problem with the stupid rule, it's expecting defenders and keepers to be linesman and know who is offisde and somehow adjust their game. You see it all the time where defenders lunge to cut out through passes, taking themselves out the game and losing possession, even though the guy the ball is aimed at is offside. The defender cannot just let it through, as he can't be sure it's offside, but the other team then gains from him having to cut the ball out.

if the ball is going to hit rooney who`s in an offside position and he moves away so it doesnt hit him and therefore goes in the net, surely it is interfering with play by moving out of the way of the ball

Dogshit rules mate,I agree, but going by them dogshit rules,it was fine IMO.
The other 2, should not of stood.

Noooooo. Rooney was NOT interfering with play. You have to touch the ball to do that. The question is was he 'interfering with an opponent' by getting in the keeper's line of vision or where he is moving to or making a gesture to distract him. Well yes he did the latter by putting his arms out but there is one key issue, this part of the law starts as follows...

If, in the opinion of the referee...

So, it was always going to be a goal wasn't it?

For the pen dowd has judged that the goalie (cos he missed the ball basically)...

1. Attempted to trip Rooney
2. In a reckless manner (cos he booked him

There doesn't have to be contact, question is was he attempting to trip him? Errm ref's opinion.. again

The only decision they got was the penalty. He dives after he goes past the keeper, he's a cheat.

I can't wait till we play these, if we don't have any injuries it could be embarrassing. I hope Yorke and Phil Neville will be in the studio, I'm sick of both of them.

NO SHIT??????????? are you fucking SURE????????????? what about felaini goal?? that wasn't a foul no?????? even the 1 goal for me was offside

As the rule stands,he has to be impairing the keepers vision, which he wasn't....bollocks I know, for me,how could the linesman see, from where he was,IF shrek was stood infront of the keeper.....replays show he got it right, but there is no way he could of seen.

Did Newcastle a couple of years back have a goal disallowed by tiotte against us, same as the rags tonight

Somehow 1 loss in 19 for them.

How many of those games were against lower league sides or sides that are likely to be relegated from the Premier League this season

Maybe it also shows that the premier league isn't as good as we think using the rags form here as a guide..
