This was very noticeable here in Dublin over the weekend. They were fucking everywhere for the last few weeks, strutting around with smug faces as they swallowed every bit of bullshite the media wrote about Vag and world class signings....yesterday not a fucking sign of them anywhere, it was like they were all suddenly taken in the rapture.

Considering how our performances and goal count fell when we used 3-5-2 after our title win and how poor United looked in it,could it be the case of 3-5-2 just not applicable premiere league?

Some teams have used it effectively but you have to work on it, which we didn't, and have players who are suited to playing it, which United don't.

I know it was pre-Premier era, but Kendall used it to great effect in his first few months at City.

It stopped us leaking goals and helped us climb the table to safety.

However, he started the next season, 90-91, with a back four of Harper, Lake, Hendry and Pointon.

Unfortunately, poor Lakey only lasted two games and Steve Redmond came back into the side.

It showed at the WC, when queen Louisa had no plan B against Argentina. The rags have been geared for two decades to 4-2-4, or 4-4-2, all the youth players have been bought and developed with this formation in mind. However the biggest difference since the time they signed Vidic, Evra and help the aged is money. PSG, Monaco, Madrid, Munich, Chelski, Barca, Arse and gods own, have good money to spend, 7-8 years ago they had a fairly clear run at buying players, on the drip. Plus as we saw this weekend most EPL teams are getting stronger. All in all, times are changing!
