Crazy that Adidas have given them a deal 2.5x better than Real Madrid and Bayern... who are also Adidas clients! What happens with them, do they sit back and say "oh well" when Real especially are just as big a brand?

+ £75m a year will give them a monster transfer budget every year unless the Glazers do the best thing and pocket it.
Real Madrid & Bayern are both bigger brands right now - Un*ted are 3rd. We currently sit in 5th with Barcelona just above us. We'll milk the shit out of it when the time comes.

The whole thing stinks. I just hope Nike begin to see us as their next golden goose and up the quality of.their product in the process.

They better had do, we're their last remaining Premier League club of note (other is QPR).

We're receiving £12m a year, United £75m a year. They are a far bigger brand, but we're the champions and in the CL, which proportionately should entitle us to a £30m-£40m/year kit deal at least. Especially when it's more about brand exposure than actual shirt sales (one area we're still quite weak in).

Time for Glick and Ferran to step it up and finalise substantially improved terms to our current sponsorships, as well as announce a number of new international deals with reputable companies that will put other teams backs up.

United know how to whore themselves out, we need to keep pace.

its the united way

Shirt manufacturing deals are not based off of visibility like sponsorships, they are based off of the number of shirts sold. We will get absolutely nowhere near United's deal and nor we should we. We don't sell a tenth of the shirt sales. Liverpool also have a larger kit deal than us for the same reason

Interesting that Nike now only really have City, Juve, Barca and PSG left out of the top European sides. We are also their only top club in the prem, so hopefully when we renew with them it will be a massive deal (though I cant see anyone other than Madrid getting close to United's).

With the Adidas & Chevrolet money they have done some great business.

If it wasn't for FFP, I wouldn't even be arsed but with the 'iffy' deal they've struck with Chevrolet it means they'll have north.of £135m per season available.

They'll also be able to pay off their £500m bond which is due for repayment in 2016. I was just hoping for the day when Old Toilet got flushed away with all the turds in the the ground.

This isn't entirely accurate. We're on a deal not far from the one QPR have, despite selling absolutely miles more than they do.

I think the real problem that this highlights, is that we cannot negotiate good deals. Not because we are incapable, but because if we do then everyone in football will claim we're cheating and UEFA will agree and "revalue" them. Meanwhile, everyone else is allowed to negotiate these ridiculous deals free of any scrutiny at all.
