This is the real reason that the chips didn't run out last year...

"Footballers are creatures of habit and for as long as I can remember at United, it was a ritual that we had low-fat chips the night before a game. We loved our chips.

"But Moyes comes in and, after his first week, he says we can’t have chips any more. We weren’t eating badly. In fact, you’d struggle to find a more professional bunch of players than the ones at Manchester United in the summer of 2013.

From Rio's forthcoming book.

He is a real and valid reprobate.

Rag at work has just used the 'yea but its our money' arguement when I mentioned that they should look a better side after spending £150 million

Tell him that we spend our money now and if he says "yeah, now", tell him that Ferguson spunked £20m of shares money on his first title-winning team.

I think we should be thanking our lucky stars that we were able to witness that performance today, a footballing masterpiece....

Forget ac Milan in the early 90s, forget Brazil 1970 World Cup, this was the ultimate footballing performance in living memory...l

That performance today will NEVER be topped....

Holy fucking shit, a terrible qpr team at home, why would any expect anything else than a comfortable win?

If that tit had scored that chance, when the lama came out of his net, then it would have been interesting

Can't believe what I'm hearing and reading in the British media, wait til they play someone decent, they will get fucking battered
The same media giddiness started last year when Davey la got his first win after a run of shite.. same will happen this time..

It wont last..

What won't last, the press giddines or their apparent return to some sort of form. I think the problem for me is the press giddiness, its over the top and not needed, we can all watch a match and make up our minds on wethet another team is any good or not.

Form is temporary their shite is permanent as will be the giddiness Im afraid.. ;)

Funnily enough his reply was 'yeah, now'

He was banging on about yesterday and how good they looked, then finished with 'but theres no point getting carried away yet'

Funny bunch aren't they

You should tell him that when an average team plays a shit team the average team usually wins..

MK Dons are average and QPR are shit. ;)
