HOMEGROWN TALENT RANKING October 2014
1. Barcelona - 43 (13 still at the club; 30 in top five Euro leagues)
2. Manchester United - 36 (12; 24)
3. Real Madrid - 34 (8; 26)
4. Lyon - 33 (15; 18)
5. Paris Saint-Germain - 27 (5; 22)
OTHER ENGLISH CLUBS
9= Arsenal - 22 (7; 15)
34= Aston Villa - 14 (6; 8)
45= Tottenham Hotspur - 12 (6; 6)
45= Southampton - 12 (4; 8)
45= Chelsea - 12 (3; 9)
45= Manchester City - 12 (1; 11)
It makes sense to develop home grown talent. That's why City are investing in their academy system so I would hope that in future City were well up the home grown talent rankings.

btw, whatever happened to the next potential England star Januzaj? A few months ago the press were desperate for him yo play for Engerland because he scored two goals against a crap team and was therefore assumed to be the next Big Thing?

Not that I care, except that the press make me sick
Wasn't he last years Best Under 21 in world football? Or something similar.
I'd forgotten all about that bollocks. Off to do some googling, and then piss taking.

It was bbc sports personality of the year - after 10 games for the scum, presumably in the same year as multiple Olympic medalists. ycnmiu.
Turned out he wasn't even Stretford sports personality of the year and Moyes left him out of the CL squad.

Van Girl's not coping well with the media attention.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Before this season finishes he will do something in a media interview which will make KK and Rafas rants look like an episode of songs of praise.

Manchester United are set to sell three unwanted players in January - goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard, 30, and midfielders Nani, 28, and 26-year-old Anderson - to finance a £200m assault on the transfer market. (Daily Star)

So where is the other 199 million coming from?
