Small margins. Amazing how we seemed to be doing everything in our power to let Liverpool score but they didn't fancy it. Similar with the Arsenal game. A better striker (or any at all for that matter) and we'd have been punished.

We can't keep defending like that, Evans in particular is woeful. Looks unsuited to a back 3, but he's never been the best defender anyway. I'd look to move him on in the summer. Pity we can't keep Smalling fit either.

All in all, i'm not quite sure how we keep winning, but i'll take it. It did feel very sweet after the corresponding fixture last season and its 6 goal swing.

I thought the way their keeper dived the wrong way when Rooney scored, and whenever Liverpool broke away and totally fucked up the final pass, then there is only one conclusion to make.

No, seriously though, I thought you played quite well, and LIverpool were, well, just not very good.

Yeah i saw that, he's just guessed since he can't see around Skrtyl. Bad call to drop Mignolet, who didn't do anything wrong against Basle. If you're going to drop an average keeper for one much worse, do it before a top 4 six pointer preferably.

Liverpool were poor, and although we grew into the game i can't pretend we were much better. Not 3-0 better anyway, and Aguero, Costa, whoever would have made mincemeat of that defending, De Gea or no De Gea. But i guess you can only play what's in front of you, tired cliche though it may be. Obviously pleased with how it panned out though!

Did not realise there was United fans on this board, good to see a few on here who seem legit

Let's just say in light of recent events i've been..er..laying low for a spell. :)

Brilliant! All yesterday my facebook was full of them arrogant delusional glory craving bastards coming out with shit like De Gea being the best keeper in the world. Carrick one of best mids in premier league. The new manager being a genius. Best team in the world etc.

So I waited, silently, let them have their moment. Then this morning put that (tomorrow swapped for 'today'). Could not of choose a sweeter moment to do it. Brilliant.!!!

The media over here aren't mentioning it at all, but it's looking a lot like Ander Herrera is in real danger of getting a huge match fixing ban. (along with a lot of other players, including Atleti's captain Gabi)

Must have been a re-enactment of the fixed game between the two clubs on Good Friday 1915. Did look very dodgy from Jones and they do have form for dodgy colonials in goal.

No idea, there is amazingly little mention of it, given the seriousness of the situation. They could well be looking at jail time, like the Pakistani cricketers over here. Gabi, in particular, has already admitted to knowing about it, I'm amazed he's still playing.

"Old news"? It's from today. As for it being "completely false", the anti-corruption prosecutors don't seem to think so, but I assume you have more information about it than them?
