Did anyone see the love in around De Gea. I watched the "amazing save" he pulled off to deny Balotelli. He didn't even have to stretch. It was literally the perfect height for a keeper, and they're talking about it as if it was Joe Hart's save against Lukaku. In reality, if he'd let that in, he would've been laughed off the pitch. I guess facing a team that kicks the ball directly at you all game makes you the best keeper in the world now. There was one bit I saw where he did well, but it just shows you how much the rag love in is still in force, whenever anyone does something that isn't completely shit.

No idea, there is amazingly little mention of it, given the seriousness of the situation. They could well be looking at jail time, like the Pakistani cricketers over here. Gabi, in particular, has already admitted to knowing about it, I'm amazed he's still playing.

It was in the Evening news 3 weeks ago. Sky Sports Spanish reporter said it was bollocks, and Herrera in particular was in the side that won 2-1 so it would be impossible to prove match-fixing when you won the game. If you throw a game, then there could be a case to answer for as well as payments into your bank account.

The allegations fall on then-Zaragoza president Agapito Iglesias, who reportedly paid off certain players to ensure the result. He will be forced to give evidence at the investigation.

Gabi and Herrera reportedly received payments from Iglesias, although the money was returned and Iglesias has claimed they were just bonuses for the season. Zaragoza were on the cusp of administration at the time and in dire financial straits.

I was lucky enough to witness their fall in the '70's. I was at the swamp when they went down, but it's a different world now, where money rules the roost, and they will always be tugging our tails, no matter how much we despise them.

They are just too big, too rich, these days, to fall like they did back then.

Last season was an aberration, which we all enjoyed, but we knew it would never last, unfortunately.

They will always be there or there abouts. Fortunately for us, so will we now.
