Sorry not a chance. They have a significant global reach and carry the Premier League brand/product out to circa 700 million followers plus associated TV/box office. No organisation can simply just "do without" that. Bunch of twats all the same, but with a major commercial influence who's ongoing viability benefits all stakeholders, including ourselves.
Look at how quickly Liverpool's overseas support has dwindled. Liverpool tour organisers in the Far East were discussing reasons for poor crowds at their games. Why should Utd's global fanbase be any different

Yes but it has taken 25 yrs without the title for it to 'start' to dwindle.

I geunuinly don't think he could do it now. That year under Moyes cost them so much more than they thought. Their club now suffers from the same problem the rest of us do.

Player power. It swooped in during the last 15 years, but the shite were immune, because (and I hate to pay the compliment) the piss can could take any player on. He built a reputation so strong that he was un-fireable, which meant that any player taking him on was going to lose.

Now, the players are in control, no manager is above the chop, and some players (Rooney leading the way) are taking the piss.

TT was the boards way of getting the power back from the players to the hierarchy, but you can't get the toothpaste back in the tube. He might have the authority, but he doesn't have players respect like the GPC did, which is why Otamendi was the 2435th player to turn them down this window.

United are in far bigger trouble than they know. So don't worry when some daft journey gives them an easy ride. Because trust me, there's only a bumpy road ahead.

Great post mate and spot on. Once the spine of that team withered with age, it was laways going to take at least three seasons to re build. Trouble is their last two managers did not have the wherewithal to do it and have now extended that period. I genuinely believe TTs ego will take them even more steps down the ladder. Long may it continue for that shithouse of a club

I don't know why they get so excited for players like Neymar and Bale. If they were available, there are 2-3 clubs including our own that will be right in there as well should they become available, it is all a load of tosh I am afraid rag fans.

I dont think our supporters will become wankers, I think some of our new supporters undoubtably will be. Its the price of success

have a look at the criticism of our club on the Txiki and Pogba threads - we already have some self-entitled dicks in our ranks

Sorry GDM, I dreamed they went bust after dropping through the leagues ,with crowds in their hundreds.
I think that GDM, you and I had the same dream - this is just them part way through the journey to the very satisfying end you describe.

It's one of the drawbacks of having such an open forum rather than a strictly controlled RAWK like forum where posters are required to demonstrate their compliance before being permitted full privileges. Lots of posters on here wouldn't last 2 minutes on RAWK but I'd definitely rather see posters being allowed to vent their stupidity (most have done it at one time or another) than have half the topics on 'lock down'.

Lazy journalists looking for clicks, it's shameful how they get paid for coming up with the transfer stories that get published. A lot of the writers are really putting the boot into them and what a circus it is over there in trafford.

They are returning back to their rightful place when Ron Atkinson was in charge. A wannabe club splashing money round on shite, I fancied Newcastle to roll over and die yesterday but they showed anyone can take points at old Trafford. They'd lost 7 away games on the bounce previous to that.

What absolute folly it was giving Rooney 300k a week till 2019. What club would take a chance on someone who clearly doesn't look after himself life style wise to prolong his career.

Oh and the schmidfield they called it looks shockingly bad. Side ways pass, think about it, side ways pass and think about it again.

I really can't wait till October the 25th when we play these hopeless twats. We owe them one for celebrating like they had won the World Cup last Derby .

Ha, that 700 million figure is absolute bollocks from the ministry of red propaganda. 1 in 10 of the world's population follow utd?? I reckon not much more than 1 in 10 of the world's population follow football full stop. Amazing as well that they had 30,000 empty seats on Tuesday with all these millions of fans.

people are going overboard with the demise of united,if you look at the squad and see what they need they would have a very good chance of winning the league and most probably dominating the prem again, imo if they get

a new goalie
a couple of full backs
a couple of centre backs
two midfielders
two wingers
and a couple of forwards they would have a great team
oh and a manager with an assistant who actually has a fucking clue.

One rag put a picture up of Otemendi inside the stadium on face book. It had the quote ' Otemendi getting used to the emptyhad on match days'.

Show him a picture of old Trafford last Tuesday night on the glorious return to the champions league and there's no come back.

Empty seats yesterday against Newcastle according to a friend who went the game yesterday. He was asking a question about why there were so many empty seats when there was a sign saying all season tickets were sold out.

No wonder they are trying to flog the Neymar/Bale transfer rumours to death. Can see a drop off in attendances there with the way they are playing. The mard arses will be crying come January when the dippers will be breathing down their necks.

Peak world cup final viewing figures are around 1bn which shows how many people worldwide follow the sport. I think that survey was structured to see how many people from a small sample in a footballing country recognised the badge and then extrapolated to cover the entire world's population.

The host and guests (John Hartson and Robbie Fowler) on yesterday's Football Focus were plainly struggling to contain their mirth when discussing United's summer 'targets'.
They're sliding down the ladle into the laughing stock.

Any chance you've got a link to that picture please?

The figure is clearly bollocks. It's the fact that most of the deluded twats believe it. If a billion watch the WC final, United fans think over two thirds support United. It's truly very funny.
