Yes, that's right. SSN are currently comparing Rooney and Mullers ratings on football manager to show people what a great imaginary signing he will be

I saw this football manager thing for the first time the other day. Cringe worthy is all I can say about it, absolutely pathetic. Guess they are just taking care of their dumb ass armchair viewers interests and dumbing down

Sky Sports breaking news : Utd no longer interested in Pedro

30 minutes later: breaking news. Chelsea sign Pedro.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Clearly snubbed but I say again its like being dumped by a girl and trying to tell everything 1st you dumped her

It's entirely possible that we will overtake them in every conceivable way over the next half decade or so.

There were more at City V Chelsea than there were at the Swamp last night. The Maine Stand had lots of Empty seats which you would not have seen on TV. It was dire.
I walked home from the swamp last night thinking - our ground is significantly better than theirs, our corporate facilities are miles ahead, our kit is nicer, our fans are nicer, our training ground is better, our owners are better, our image as a club is better - I genuinely think we will overtake them in every single way in my lifetime.

It is nowhere near as good an experience going there as going to the Etihad. The stadium is hideous.
and the small mater of our team being significantly better too! :-)

I'm not even convinced The Sheik is all that into football in the first place in order to get bored of it. This project isn't really a little sporting folly (not in my eyes), otherwise we'd see him at the matches, and mixing with the players etc. This is a proper business venture.
All of that said, and many football fans don't grasp this. Football clubs (even the very largest ones) are pitifully small in the business world. BP turnover more in a year than all of the world's clubs combined - which helps to add some perspective.

As you say, whatever the future holds, 'boredom' won't be a factor.

There are a hell of a lot of people taking football manager style statistics to heart. Stats have become an increasingly used aspect of football but I hope the day never comes where we take such an NFL approach. Each play in NFL is a nailed down strategy drawn on paper and practiced on the training ground, it's a different game and one where stats are vital.

Football is still not scientific. So many variables impact what happens in a game and how a player performs. Most armchair Rag fans will actually believe they could sign Muller. They'll be shocked when they get a yoghurt instead.
