From the caf lol (not sure if it's been posted or even if it's serious??)

Fernandinho has had one good season. He's Spurs level. Stupid to call him an excellent player when he's so clearly not.

Carrick is miles ahead of him in terms of influence and ability.

Sounds like that particular rat was influenced by meth!

Disjointed you say? I see what you mean. This mish mash of a transfer window - mental ramblings of TT - Edwoodwoodwood flying all over Spain with no real product - this may not be part of a masterplan but indeed something of an example of a club in a terminal decline - hopefully.
As Shakespeare nearly said "There are more things in heaven and earth,Louis, than are dreamt of in your philshofee"

Exactly. They fear us and will throw money that they haven't really got to try to compete with us. They're floundering with no apparent plan and no long term strategy. As the global interest in them declines (already signs of that happening) and they start to not sell out PL games their panic will increase. Ultimately they'll become their own worse enemy. We've been down that path and we know what it looks like. Historically it's been rare and short term that both clubs have prospered simultaneously. We've very much still on the up as a club and are likely to be for a long, long time. If I was a rag fan I'd be very, very worried.
I never ever imagined they could go into as steep a decline as they have done. The worst that I thought they would ever get was that they would be one of the top 4 contenders on a perennial basis and would just rotate and take it in turns to win the title in their better seasons. Never did I think they would end up in the morass that they seem to be in at the moment. I totally agree with your post that they are floundering without any strategy for recovery apart from a scattergun approach to transfers in the hope that they will somehow make it out the other side. If they got their shit together starting now it would be a few seasons before they were in a position to challenge for the league, if however they carry on as they are, their downfall could be swift and spectacular. The only saving grace for them could be their huge revenues, which may attract an investor who may be able to sort them out. Let's hope they go down faster than a one legged man doing the hokey cokey.

It would be too beautiful if the twats lose 2-0 on Wed. Too much to hope for, unfortunately.

Some of us ( those of a certain age anyway) remember the rags pre-pisscan , and remember that they were a relatively well supported , and reasonably successful club, but nothing like the monster they became after our Glaswegian friend took over.
That is the problem for them now . They have 650 billion fans (or whatever ludicrous number you want to come up with) and for the huge majority of their undoubtedly world-wide fan base, they are defined by the "Ferguson years" which did bring them a great deal of success and attracted most of the huge global support that we see today. They were , if you like , born and raised as "fans" on the prospect of infinitely continued success. But , as we all know as City fans , the other side of the coin is failure, and that is a concept alien to most of their fans, and we now witness their inability to deal with it.

Just saw this on rag cafe

Night kids. Here's a bedtime nightmare: Rooney is contracted to June 2019 at £300,000 per week. 201 more weeks and £60,300,000 in wages.

Bwhahahahahahahahaha !
