They've far from played a blinder. If their intention was to give the impression to De Gea that they were willing to sell but then deliberately sabotaged the deal so they could claim 'they tried' the truth will get back to De Gea and every other pro for that matter and no one will touch the rags with a bargepole - in fact that seems to be already happening.

The moment people realise you are disingenuous and untrustworthy is the moment you can say goodbye to winning business and you are on a slippery slope. Integrity is key in any line of business.

No top club or agent will want to deal with these muppet RAG's on deadline day again.. unprofessional.

2 massive clubs and now the laughing stock of the World. LOL

With the money they have spent over the last 4 years, more than anybody else, I'd have to question that as a mentality.

You can spend much less to finish in 4th. That sort of money should be producing title winning teams.
But not from a starting position of 7th. They were willing to spend shitloads to get back into the Champions League. It'll be interesting to see if they're willing to spend again to make the next step from 4th to 1st. Basically the 7th place finish panicked them. They never thought they'd be off the CL gravy train.

I take it dom Mc guiness is a rag?
Trying to say it's a positive thing that de gea is staying and could be the hero against Liverpool .

I think Real Madrid have played a blinder here.

They get him for free next season, and for the whole season the RAG's have an unsettled number 1 to destabilize their season with having to pay De Gea's wages and getting no transfer fee next season. Revenge is a dish best served cold something tells me they did this on purpose for PR reasons and to save face. HAHAHA :)

Good point but the rags will turn that around to say it's benefitial to them

Yes United have a very unhappy goalkeeper who believes they sabotaged his dream move. If he played he may be tempted to let a couple roll under him in a big match or two. ;)

.....But financially and player wise it's surely Rags. With this loss and loss of selling player for 15m less after one year and massively overpaying for some nobody from Monaco they are around 100m eur worse than they could or should be + have to buy goalkeeper soon.

What's your thoughts?[/QUOTE]

The scum are the biggest losers.
It is clear from Madrid's released document that the scum initiated the move properly only yesterday morning, and therefore, it was up to them to get it through.
The scum initiated the final processes of the transfer - no matter how much foreplay and falsehood there may have been in the preceding weeks. Up to yesterday morning, this transfer wasn't happening. The 8 hour delay in the middle of the day falls at their door. Now, they haven't got a fee that they expected. That will have repercussions for the financing of their 80M euro deal for whatsisname. They have a very unhappy number 1 goalie on their books, and God knows where he will fit into the equation now - and still have Valdes too, who can't be that happy a bunny. And, they have the possibility of a lower fee, or even no fee at all for De Gea next January or next summer, dependant upon what he wants to do - he can walk next summer if he wants. If Romero is dropped, they have no happy goalies - though, from what Tolmie says, they have no happy footballers there anyway!
Madrid have a goalkeeping fuck up of the highest order to undermine their season, but, overall, their position football-wise is eminently stronger than the scum's.
YCMIU!!!!

That 7th place finish was the core of a title winning side under Ferguson.

It's incredible, the demise. I've said for years that some of those teams Ferguson had would come nowhere near a title under a different manager. I was right.

He was the entire club. A horrible human being who had the entire league and it's referees under his thumb. Officiating at Old Trafford was a scary experience.

Like I said before. The wheels are off. Crowds/Spnsorship might not save them. Just ask Liverpool
