So the Raggies are at a cross roads, do they back or sack poor LVG? His track record at destroying Barcelona didn't even need anyone with a footballing brain to see its been a car wreck waiting to happen.
Do they resort to the family man as interim manager? The whole class of 92 thing and looking backwards to the good old days would be a repeat of what happened with liverpool. Appointing the likes of Souness and Roy Evans held the scousers back years as to where they have never recovered from the hangover of the 'glory days'.
Do they appoint Giggs who has seemed to have undermined the last two appointments, using his mates to come out and slag the manager whilst he has said nothing to support the guy above him. Are those attributes that you look for in a leader who will take an organisation forward, being a 5th column within a club just so you can make some money making a cringe worthy tv program about being a crap care taker manager.
Then there is the clean sweep option, the hordes from Bracknell and Colchester were chanting for Jose yesterday at Stoke. The guy who couldn't get a tune out of Hazard, Costa, fabregas and Oscar. The so called United faithful will think he can wave a magic wand with Rooney, whatshisname, Jones and Depay. One of their better players in Mata was deemed surplus to requirements by Jose so will be straight out of the door when he comes in.
If they appointed Jose how much money would they need to sort that squad out? 100 million? 200 million? Then there is the job of persuading top players to come, would you go to old trafford to play for Jose with his long list of players he's fallen out with? Ronaldo, hazard, casillas, Costa, fabregas, Robben to name a few. Why go to old trafford when you could be playing down the road for what looks like it will be Pep?
All in all its a fantastic situation from our side of things, watch the collapse of that obnoxious club in trafford whilst our upward trajectory in football keeps going. Merry Christmas fellow blues.
