Just been perusing “the Caf” for the first time in a while. Funny how they have their RAWK/Bluemoon in meltdown threads, as if they’re somehow a bit more considered and rational, yet when they lose they’re guilty of precisely the same things. Enjoying the Schadenfreude tonight.

Do they have political threads that get anywhere near as heated as ours?

A bit of perspective here, for all the bluster about them being sat in second place lets consider three results.
Injury time winners against Arsenal and Palace and our defeat to them last month, we really should have been out of sight by half time and the other two games could easily have been draws.
That is a 7 point swing, that would have them in 4th place just 4 points above Chelsea who would have a game in hand.
Sure, all ifs and maybe's but it shows how thier season cold have easily been much worse.

I think you could see on Maureen's face post match when interviewed he wants - needs - to secure second place AND win the FA Cup - at the same time he is questioning in his own mind whether he has the playing resources to do that.

I do not even think he is throwing them under the bus in the traditional footballing sense, he is way past just chucking them under a bus. I think he is using the bare minimum diplomacy to tell Woodward they are not good enough and to get rid of them. In my opinion they played exactly as he wanted them to play, shite, just so he has the tangible fresh in the mind evidence his squad need investment. Of course he does throw them under the bus but it is a by product of his methods and not his end game here i think.

They aren't good enough if he hopes to even get close to us over a season so i can kinda see why he said it. This makes great viewing for us to which is an added bonus.

I hope Pogba stays because he is an absolute thorn in Mourinho's side.
