We take our club personally & have had to put up with a lot of personal stuff, & utter bullshit about our club, for decades. Not just from you lot, but you are the worst for it & the most hypocritical (well Liverpool actually can match you).
We have experience of stuff, in the last few decades, which Utd (plus Liverpool, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, AC Milan etc etc etc) have never experienced. But some of it didn't involve celebrity, & wasn't live on TV or many parades, & pats n the back, so it's all meaningless, apparently, like almost every other team in the country apart from a few, are 'meaningless'.
When our Derby is Macclesfield & Stockport County are an elite team from the league above & 30k of us turn out to watch us lose at home to Wycombe Wanderers, or our fathers watch Bert Trautmann wiining the league & then being relegated or the stories our grandparents tell of watching Brook Tilson Toesland running riot, in front of even record (still outside Wembley) attendances, or even earlier, Max Woosnam playing cb for City, scoring 100 at Lords for the MCC & winning the Doubles at Wimbledon, none of this counts, as history, because not all of it involved cups & ribbons & back patting, fawning bollocks.
History in football, only exists, if it is first vetted by Manchester Utd, Liverpool etc, to see if it is the right kind of 'history'. And now we are writing it, these football Nazis, will have to take it, up the arse & hopefully, for many many years.
We know how it feels, to have no hope of ever competing, & have to listen to people fawning over how many stars a team has & how much money they have spent, how wonderful it is that they have a bench full of world class footballers & how great it is for the League that this wonderful collection of players is in our country. Whilst their fans sing pisstake songs about a team with no money, in the 3rd division, but they are not bitter. We are the 'bitter' ones.
Time moves on & we are told, said team actually didn't spend anything much & actually did it all with kids & money= baaaad, unless you break the transfer record & sign whilst holding a red shirt.
So how wonderful, when these 'historical' teams are falling over each other to pay twice & 3 times the market value of players, to try & compete with 'little' City.
But they 'earned' it & 'deserve' it, because of their 'history'.
Well they 'deserve' every atom, of shit we dump back on them for as long as we possibly can.
And our 'blood pressure' may be pumping, with the sheer orgasmic delight of it.
