Can't believe it's only a 3 year deal, for a £35m-£45m expenditure. Amortised thats £12m-£15m a year. That makes this deal pretty expensive!

However, it's also like saying we believe in you but only for a couple of seasons and then you're gone.

hes building one big, physical, strong team isnt he old Josie!
im surprised he didnt sign costa instead of Lu-kak-poo, he would have suited them right down to the ground the miserable horrible tw@t.

Or, the money men don't want to be lumbered with him for 3 years after Mourinho has gone

A 3 year deal seems short but if he's on good wages and has limitations outside of Mourinho's 'style' of play, then they might be happy for him to walk out the door in 3 years that put him on a 5 year deal when he won't be needed for 3 and a half of those 5 years

How is it Chelsea get 40 million for a player they don't want......

We just get lumbered with clowns like bono forever

Their signings are really underwhelming, especially when you consider they were in for Griezman, Bale, CR7 et al

Their midfield 3 will of Pogba Matic and Herrera will be very difficult to play through. United will be a complete Mourinho side, defensively sound, physical midfield and wide men for creativity playing around a target man. They will also be a very tall side. Could be a Stoke team with better footballers.

Oh I don't doubt that, says a lot for Mourinho and his style as well though. Don't want to be lumbered with Mourinho type players that nobody (new manager) will want once Mourinho is gone!

The abusing doping officials has surprisingly disappeared down the media order of business...

united and jose are again running scared with this signing jose will park the bus when facing the better teams and bully the weaker teams i don't understand what people see in jose at united football and the premier league has change and youth and speed and legs going for 90mins is the new yes jose and united can bully teams and the officials but the better teams will not fall for it and just wipe the floor with them

i can see united and the fan getting pissed off early doors this season when jose is parking the bus and letting teams have the ball hoping to hit the ball long and over the top and catch teams out with lukaku yes it can work in some games but its crap to watch with 5 holding midfield players
the only way i can see united having a good season is they have the officials in there pockets like chelsea last season

every year i really want us to stuff em but this year would especially nice we stuffed them home and away by playing brilliant attacking skillful purposeful football whilst they football from the dark ages.

They will be very difficult for most teams to play against and they will be up there. It's not a style of football I would want to watch but it will be effective against most of the premier league teams. We will just need to ensure that we play with full commitment in all games, not just against the big teams, so that we are there at the top of the table and can show how good we are when we play the teams that are competing for the title. We look to have the best squad but everyone will have to be 'on it' in every game.
