Pogba is a perfect example, of everything that is wrong with the base everything on goals and assists attitude, that seems prevalent these days. Yeah his stats are decent but it tells nothing like the whole story. The guy is a flat-track bully, who bounces around the middle of the park, looking good against canon-fodder. He rarely turns up against anyone decent. He would drive me mad if he was at City.
Are his stats even that good? 3 goals in 21 games. Pretty woeful that.

He's having a decent shot at being the first player to have more assists than chances created with some of the ones he's been awarded.Are his stats even that good? 3 goals in 21 games. Pretty woeful that.

watched their game yesterday (as i couldn't make ours) and they were atrocious, spurs could easily have had a few more had it not been for Kane's finishing and the referee not awarding a blatant penalty.

I think that's right.
Spurs exposed Matic's low mobility last season, and he cannot be expected to cover Eriksen and Alli, and anyone else who happens to attack, by himself. Give him a decent partner, and he can be effective enough - just as Gareth Barry manages.

Very similar to the Dinho/Yaya relationship of 13/14 and 14/15, yet despite Yaya back then being a far superior player to Pogbad, we had no problem calling him out for constantly leaving Dinho high and dry, even though Dinho has far greater mobility and a better engine than Matic will ever have.I think Matic is a victim of Pogba's lack of ability to do a job and not wander around half daydreaming. Even with that greater talent and end product (Yaya) and greater mobility and stamina (Dinho) it was still a huge flaw in our team and it's telling that our deepest run in the Champions League came with a midfield pairing of Fernando and Dinho.
