In a moment of boredom I drifted onto SadCafe........some awesome comments that just make my insides hurt with laughter!!.....this from just a few days ago:

I'm looking forward to the Spurs game next Wednesday. This is the time of the season we traditionally kick on, and I think we'll see a positive approach. In addition to having trophies and top four to play four, Jose will be thinking ahead to next season.

Fucking deluded springs to mind.

Ok. Fair play. That is splendid.

I hope the Sanchez signing pressures Mourinho into trying the same attacking football that failed so spectacularly at Chelsea. They were hemorrhaging points trying to put on a show and it ruthlessly exposed his short comings as a coach. I certainly hope he tries a Pogba Matic midfield 2 against us.

Not a chance PEG will try that at Etihad.

We would rip them two new ones, let alone one.

Two things:

1) He has some serious issues.
2) I love how he outed himself as a banned poster on here that has subscribed under a new user name - realized that he did - then tried to cover his tracks. LOL!!
Actually feel a bit sorry for him. Is that bad?

He’s on the spectrum clearly and to make it worse for the kid he’s a rag fan.

He’s actually acknowledging he’s spending too much time on YouTube. Putting it before friends and family.

How long does he take to record these gems? It might take him all day.

Poor soul. We should send him some merch from the city store.

It's fair to suggest we've will win the league after last night, our next target has to be either win it against them or do it the game before for a guard of honour....what a time to be blue, all that pain from 1970.....just knew eventually it'd be worthwhile ;)

I don’t recall any pain in 1970.

We won the ECWC and the League Cup; that lot won fuck all!

Great shout... for me he's ok in a team that's ok.

Who would out of their best 11. De Gea, and that's it.... Sanchez a possibllity. None of the others would be anywhere near... just let that sink in. What a time to be a blue

I wouldn’t even have the alpaca over Eddie in our team. His distribution and ability with his feet simply aren’t in the same class as our man's.

As a Yank I can say without fear of contradiction that Yank rags are THE least knowledgeable footy fans around, period. I mean it isn't even close. I have thoughtful footy conversations in my office with Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool and Juve fans . . . we collectively laugh at rag fans; they are invariably fucking clueless about the sport.

I will say that all the American fans of foreign sides that I know are far more likely to moan about their team's fates than the English/Italian fans of the same clubs -- much more cynicism here, maybe Trump-driven, I don't know.

Aren’t American sports fans in general very critical of their teams if things aren’t going well?

Watched the Spurs v United highlights on BT today. Tottenham were toying with them in that second half.
There is absolutely no doubt, if Jose has any sense whatsoever, that for them to finish in the top 4, he'll have to get down to Queens Road and get a double decker out.
If that team tries to play attacking football, they'll get wasted by most teams in the top half of the table

Daley Blind to Roma has collapsed seemingly due to to cash. Getting rid of players on big wages was always going to be an issue for them. 75k a week for a player who has barely even warmed their bench and not caused a fuss? you better believe he is happy just collecting that pay packet and doing sod all.

Since the media is struggling to find a way to give the rags the league they've named them the winners of the transfer window instead.

http://www.espn.com/soccer/blog/esp...la-a-loser-in-window-dominated-by-major-deals

So the big winners showed their mettle in getting dominated by Spurs and the big losers lengthened their lead to 15 points with a dominating performance against West Brom. If only City were as good as the rags...
"Smashing" our transfer record by a full £2m.

Jose's going to have a little problem then. He had to try to play an attacking side against Spurs because they were 12 points behind us and just bought Sanchez. If they played their usual drab 0-0 draw he'd get slated. So he went an put Pogba in a midfield 2 and bent over to Alexis playing on the left and put Martial on the right. Will be interesting to see how he sets up and if he decides to open up against better sides or crawl back into a defensive shell hoping not to lose.

Just nipped over to the Caf for a brew.
It's now dawning on them that we either could win the league in the Derby, or get a guard of honour.
If the latter, they're hoping United refuse to do it. Classy.
Personally, I'd like to win it that day. Thoughts anyone?

Do not give a flying f..k about them or when we win the league as long as a) we beat the crap out of them and b) we win the league.

Yeah, it reminds me of some of our transfer dealings when we were buying players for the moment rather than the future, and eventually ended up with loads of old players on huge contracts that we couldn't shift. Players like Craig Bellamy who were fantastic for us at the time, but the idea of giving a 5 year contract to a 29 year old was ridiculous and we ended up (I think) subsidizing his wages elsewhere for a long time after he left.

Sanchez might be worth his record salary right now, but he's got a contract until 2022, meaning that in the 21/22 season, they're still gonna be forking out huge amounts of money for a 34 year-old that's very unlikely to still be a regular starter.
