United thread 2018/19

Did he fuck.

We were so bad the following season for one major reason, we were still celebrating.

Seriously, from fans to manager to players to board, we'd all just gone through the biggest and most epic title race ever and came out of it in the greatest way possible.

We were never going to be normal after that. Took us a year to settle down and we never stood a chance of mounting a title challenge the following year. Had United beat us to it, they'd have probably fared better than us tbh because they'd won it before.

Us? We lost the plot. Simple as.

A year later the dust settled and Fergie realised he'd caught a lucky break and us and Chelsea were shaping up to dominate.
To be fair that seems a little harsh on the manager as he was extremely unhappy about our recruitment and preparation to the season - he wanted us to improve and kick on but wasn't remotely backed.

Anyway don't want to hijack the thread......

Before that malodorous, reptilian-looking çunt took over at the swamp I merely disliked the rags. But my dislike exploded almost overnight into a vicious, bordering-on-psychotic hatred for them, especially when he started mouthing off: insulting us and our history, abusing referees and linesmen, cheating, lying, and treating the British media like it was his own fucking personal plaything.

There are numerous stories about his general shithousery, but one I will never forget (and one I will never tire of reminding people) is when that obnoxious son of his was sacked as 'manager' of Preston he withdrew all of the rag players PNE had on loan, and persuaded that utter waste of atoms Tony Pulls to do likewise, effectively guaranteeing relegation for Preston.

I felt the same as you before the pisscan took over. It was just the natural hatred of our nearest rivals.

And exactly the same as you after he took over. GPC turned the rags into the most obnoxious, despicable, horrible club in the world, and that included dirty Leeds. He couldn’t have been more different in character to the former City player, who’d been in charge at the swamp a decade and a half earlier.

Bobby putting him in his place on that great night in April '12 was absolutely magnificent.

Jose Mourinho:

"Paul Scholes criticised me when I was the manager at some of the biggest clubs in the world while he only lasted for 31 days at Oldham Athletic. Go back to the studio."

Got a lot of time for Jose, he probably hates the rags more than we all do.
