I don't think footballers natures have changed that much during his time in management, I strongly suspect it is his character that has evolved rather than football. He appears a very different person in front of the cameras and the press than he did when he was at Chelsea first time aroundI think modern football has left PEG behind, no so much in terms of tactics (although it is hilarious how boring and shite they are!) but definitely massaging egos in the dressing room.
Rightly or wrongly the days of managers effing and jeffing and giving people the "hairdryer" in the dressing room have gone, these managers only last two or three seasons before they have the dressing room down tools on them.
