i don't care what anyone says, those scousers really do have a great sense of humour.
"Banter page"?? both as cringey as each other

A big reason why you cannot go by stats, he's a talented player. If we went by stats few would've touched Salah after Chelsea much less De Bruyne. How you are used figures heavily into stats.

You put Rashford into City with Pep and you have a vastly different result
I think he'd still be sitting on the bench TBH. His overall game isn't up to scratch for a Pep team IMO.

Pogba isn't the right fit for Barcelona (Frenkie please!) but I have no issues with the player, teammates like him and in the right system he is formidable. I remember seeing him when he was a youth player for France and his quality was crystal clear, a player who was a level above everyone on the pitch. Yet another reminder of how Mou neuters some of the most talented players

Don't get me wrong, I can't stand pizza boy who is his agent but there's no question the biggest problem in that relationship is not the Frenchman - it's all on Mou

They got a fair amount of points last season for their sqaud, brilliant would be an overstatement though

I think you're underestimating the quality in that squad, yes they need upgrades, particularly in defence but if you put a manager in there with attacking intent they would mount a title challenge with the attacking talent they have available.

You could well be right but my point still stands United would need to spend around £250m to compete.
A world class centre back can go for £65+
A second one that's also high quality can go for £45m+. Two new full-backs would cost 90m easily in this market. They also need a Right winger which would likely cost £50m

This is a fascinating conundrum. I veer between thinking their squad is paper thin and then thinking it's actually strong but being mismanaged. They have enough good players to form the core of a strong first team, that's true enough. Perhaps the biggest reason for lack of certainty is that there's no idea what United are actually trying to achieve, playing wise. There seems to be no strategy, and acquisitions are made on an "oooh shiny" basis as much as anything else, which is why they're overloaded with players in some positions and balder than Jim Smith in others.

Someone who came in with a proper plan and structure might well get more out of them.
