Didn't mean you as such however he came back from the world cup a better player than when he started with little justification. He was appalling in the group games. A funny meme later of him stood talking to a woman after the game and the world has gone crazy for him. Don't think he is shit but not amazing and someone not sharing your opinion doesn't mean they don't know football either. Top teams aren't fighting over themselves for him are they.

I have to disagree, I remember pre Leicester at home last season, one of the lads I go with was very pro Maquire, we preceded to score 5. He looked totally clueless with our movement and reluctant to receive the ball.
He looked an average player.

Pre World Cup he was seen as a gamble, most thought Cahill would play or even Jones.
He looked well against Panama & Sweden. Average against Columbia poor in the first game.

I don't see how his just above average season for Leicester has propelled him to this stays.
It's classic World Cup hype added to him being English.

Personally think he's decent but limited. Certainly not the most expensive defender in the World. I prefer all 4 of ours.

I agree with many, he's about the standard they already have.

He's too slow to ever be world class, very good footballer but will never be very top level. Would get roasted in Europe.
 
So according to Talksport Boateng has been on the blower to Jose and it went like this- sorry Jose i just cant see man united winning the champions lge so thanks but no thanks 'i'd loved to have been a fly on the wall to have seen peg deal with that one', Maguire looks to be staying put for whatever reasons, looks like its spreading throughout the footballing world that a move to the rags is to be considered a bad move,the cafe in meltdown with just 24hrs to end of window and they have been told its going to be a long season.

Yeah. Mutv is also known as sky sports news.
Utd are one big smelly piece of shit rolled in glitter and sky sports news love flogging it til it's coming out of their ears, when in reality their transfer dealings have been shambolic and a disaster but we won't here any of that, it'll be nicely dressed up and presented to us that all these players would jump at the chance to play for utd for free, a bit like what's happened this past few days.
I'll stick my neck out and say utd will sign nobody before tomorrow's deadline.
 
They will panic buy some average defender on deadline day and that will be all their business. Even funnier if Pogba leaves after the Premier League window shuts and they can't replace him.

Possible, but I don't think they will buy anyone.

First time I can ever remember Man Utd just not bothering to compete and be the best they can. They may have had some poor seasons, but each Summer they've always been there trying to improve. They finished 19 points behind us. Their team had obvious shortcomings. They are the most powerful club in England. They have chosen not to compete with City. They are doing a Wenger. Settling for top 4 because they don't rate their chances of success. Ultimately I think it comes down to their lack of confidence in Mourinho but if that's the case then they should have changed coach.

They are actually also now seeing clubs buying sweeper type keepers. The clubs that have bought have seen how successful it has been for us. They can’t get rid of De Gea though because he is the “worlds best keeper” (TM)

Good at saving shots maybe but the best teams are limiting the shots now!

Why they are so obsessed with central defenders I dont know. They are crying out for a right back, left back and someone more creative in midfield.

Why did they keep Bog brush paying ridiculous wages for someone who will play maybe 6 times and come on as a sub 30 times!

Why do they never seem to sell anyone either? They just seem to be hoarding players.

They need to rip it up and start again because they are being left behind and long may it continue.
