The two shocks of the Summer:

The scale of Liverpool's spending.
The lack of Man Utd activity

And given that City made the buy of the Summer in Riyad Mahrez the low spirits of Man Utd fans are entirely understandable.
 
Maybe the Glazers are reluctant to give Maureen any more money because they've gotten sick of his ultra-negative football? Perhaps they're tired of the man's petulance and dour personality and want him out?
They cannot not notice that us and other teams are playing good football and attracting new fans and admirers: that we're playing out from the back instead of hoofing it up the other end like pub teams from the 70's and 80's. They know only too well that despite Maureen spending a jaw-dropping amount of money they were a long long way behind us last season, in both points and plaudits from the British media.

I believe the eye-gouging çunt has this season to save himself or he's a goner.
 
Think the rags used most of the coming seasons budget on dirty Sanchez, they may get trigger happy with the dippers spending so much.

They can get away with second appeasing the great unwashed with stories of dirty oil money but American money in Liverpool would be harder to swallow as a distant third to us both.

Funny - I don't think he did play that well... few flashes of brilliance are not acceptable for someone of his transfer fee... just proves how over inflated his fee and reputation were!
