I’m pretty sure I proved this to be fake. If I recall correctly I identified games where the only young player was John O’Shea who they bought from an Irish team and never played youth football for them.

11v11.com lists every game and line up if anyone has a spare hour or two.

In fact post 406 Here...

Edit this is the game. Who is the youth player here? Or have I missed one?

You are spot on with your research. The Stretford lot are being economical with the truth O’Shea had played for two Irish teams before that lot signed him as a professional in their youth squad at the age of 17. The rest of that squad on 01/05/2011 were - Van der Saar, Vidic, Ferdinand, F. Da Silva, Evra, Anderson, Carrick, Park, Nani, Hernandez, Rooney and Subs:Kusczczak, R. Da Silva, Smalling, O’Shea, Valencia, Berbatov, Owen.

We are talking the British press/media why let the truth get in the way of a good story for the utd numptys !!

No Chris, United drew and dropped 2 points at home to Everton.

Obviously last weeks cup final victory at City took it out if the kids.

Chris Wheeler, Daily Mail.

The pieces are finally starting to fall into place for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as Manchester United's young guns dig in to earn a draw against Everton

I think last week just shows how big that cup final was to them and how far they have fallen. To celebrate like they did last week throwing shirts for the fans and dancing and singing in front of their fans was the only thing I had to laugh about last week ! Beating us is their cup final i never thought i would see that

Rag crowd today 63,328 according to bbc, 12000 empty seats in a league game.

"Can't get a ticket".
Sad indictment of the way they are going especially as the opposition are reasonably local and would bring a fair few supporters to the game. Perhaps their fan base don’t thing it is worth the effort to travel from all points of the globe to watch the dross they serve up.

4000 consecutive matches??????????????????????????? at 42 games in a season 420 would be 10 seasons 4000 would be close to 100 seasons ????????????????????????????????????
It was a guess as there were so many variables.
42 league matches until PL.
Cup competitions of different length runs each season
League cup did not start until 1960
Europe - different competitions, different formats, different runs and they did not aleays qualify.
Etc etc etc so a guess with a feeling it was typical United bollocks a bit like the 592 million fans.

We can and should take the piss but it's the way football is going that is turning many off.

I predict most grounds will look half empty soon.
