I was there with my dad that day in their main stand, I don’t remember many blues being tougher in the ground, we seemed to be dotted all over the place.Yes, that was the end that City had that day. Mrs Vienna was in there.
However, her dad got a ticket from a rag mate, and he was in with the red filth.
I was in the main stand too, probably a few hundred scattered about in there. IIRC some of our fans in the scoreboard paddock got pushed towards the corner with the main stand at one point. Grim atmosphere before and after the match, it was difficult to keep a straight face queueing for the bus back to Sale afterwards.I was there with my dad that day in their main stand, I don’t remember many blues being tougher in the ground, we seemed to be dotted all over the place.
I was the young kid filling his undies next to you. My dad took me dropped me off and joined his mates in the main stand. It was the most exhilarating and frightening experience. To top off the United experience I was punched several times outside the ground. Seemed fair, 15 year old vs a handful of scum. If I could re-run my life I would go again in a flash.I was, stretford end paddock.
We were all over the place. The hardest part was trying to look upset when bumping into fellow Blues as we left the ground!Too young to attend that day so how many blues were in the ground that day?
How many were there then, couple of thousand or more?We were all over the place. The hardest part was trying to look upset when bumping into fellow Blues as we left the ground!
A great day, followed by an even better night in the Fletchers.
Extremely difficult to say as we were dotted all around the stadium and not congregated all in one place which was very unusual for an away game in those days. How many were there then, couple of thousand or more?
That should be an iconic photograph/artwork.
