I think you mean 1976-77. We finished 12 pts behind Forest in 77-78.

Yes year out. Ultimately the game against Liverpool cost us on a very frosty pitch, 1-0 up when supersub bloody Fairclough came on and caused panic in our defence and they scored with minutes to go. I think it was an own goal but we all thought at the time ginger nut scored it.

Yeah that 1-1 probably cost a very good City team the league that year.

I still remember how cold & gutted I was walking back to the car with my Dad.
 
Just seen one of the plastic southern yoonited youtubers moan that he isn't going to bother watching them in the Europa League. How plastic and pathetic. Still amazing to watch.

Me too we bossed the game and deserved to win. Freezing night and a really scrappy goal to concede but we probably wouldn't have in normal conditions. That was one fantastic side, Doyle and Watson rock solid at the back all season if my memory is holding out.
