Good morning all,
I hope you are well.
I am contacting you regarding the different ways you report and discuss almost identical matters. I have always found Sky to be very partisan towards certain teams and mostly laugh it off.
However, the difference in treatment of similar matters involving Bernardo Silva of Manchester City and Edinson Cavani of Manchester United deserves to be explained. When Bernardo Silva tweeted a photograph of a cartoon character and likened it to a teammate you ran this “story” for days on end, culminating in you inviting Victor Anichebe to the next live broadcasted Manchester City game. The discussion of this tweet, and the subsequent character assignation of Silva, annoyingly lasted for the majority of the match preview. Victor Anichebe, to my knowledge, has not been invited to be a pundit on any other live broadcast and for sure, his expert views and “disgust” were not available for the next broadcast of a Manchester United game. In fact the matter was not discussed at all. I wonder why this is? I understand you do not like to discuss negative stories involved United but the clear and obvious (to use a VAR phrase!) difference in treatment of two near identical matters is a completely disproportionate and is deserving, I believe, of explanation.
I would like to know why you made such a big deal out of the Bernardo tweet and have largely, certainly on live broadcasts of United games, ignored the arguably worse Cavani post using the “N” word. I understand you will deny any difference of narrative between teams yet this is so obvious and I would welcome your views.
I once suggested that on here - but several people told me we have too much class for that and I had to agree.
I just hope they don't sack Ole - he is hopeless.
It's a joke, he's taking the piss out of most pundits. What a twat - and who the fuck is he ?
Well said ,sadly they won't take a blind bit of notice. The media bias is with us for a generation, they think the rags are some sort of national treasure beloved by one and all .I know its a waste of time but I'll post any response I get!!
