Hi TerryC let me try and provide some context for you as your situation pops up a lot. Although this is your first interaction with the bluemoon forum this is not the forums first interaction with rival fans. We see posts like yours a lot.

A rival fan comes along demanding to talk football and when we don't all bow down and acquiesce to your opinion they got all shirty and throw out the same kind of defences and accusations as you. They normally result in citeh bingo and liverpool are our real rivals.

Whilst you have the right to seek engagement you don't have the right to demand we engage with you. It is this condescending attitude that bristles with a lot of people. You can't demand people engage with you in a way that you deem acceptable.

It is true that there are several posters who have a zero tolerance approach to united and liverpool fans but remember we've seen posts like yours a million times. The more you defend yourself the more condescending you appear because you are oblivious to how City fans feel about your club.

Remember you have no rivalry with City but your club and a significant portion of your fans enjoyed lording it over us when we were growing up. You had a banner updated every year with a counter since our last trophy. Your most succesful manager talked City down all the time. As soon as we get fortunate and start spending United levels of transfer fees we suddenly hear about financial regulations and organic growth.

We have to endure constant references to United, that night in Istanbul, ex united players willing us to lose in Europe, and a media that sycophantically overstates uniteds achievements and under plays your sins. For example we get one game postponed in the middle of a global pandemic (we weren't the only one incidentally) and there is talk of point reductions and forfeits. A few united scrotes (operating as far as i know outside of the established protest groups) storm the bastille and you're pronounced the saviours of football.

I also haven't even approached the attempts made at board room and administrator level that United have made to undermine and hamstring Manchester City.

So please forgive our board of top blues for not wanting to laud United's youth academy and Ole's tactial acumen.

However let's put that aside and talk football. You'll finish top 4 and do ok in the cups, maybe even win one if Pep does a Pep when we play you. But we will still hate you and want you relegated. I don't say this as a top blue but as a person who doesn't want to patronise and condescend to you. Don't take it personally
(stands on chair and applauds)
