When I was a kid grousing up in Manchester it really when the local news would say ‘Manchester City Council’ I was like ‘why do we have our own council and United dont’?’
Still the most annoying part of North West Tonight. They start their report "Manchester City" and my ears prick up, and then "council."

Only saw the highlights. Don't understand why the Villa goal was disallowed. The defender was standing stationary, and Cavani just ran into him. Anyway, just loving the work Ralf is doing. The midtable was his level in Bundesliga, as is the same in the league.

Villa were robbed/mugged.....they were by far the better team, and fell foul of some very bad luck and very bad officiating.Shaw should have received at least 2 yellows prior to the one he finally got.

Very annoying game to watch that dis indeed paper over Rag cracks, but that doesnt stop the fuckers being in the next round

It's as annoying as fuck but you just knew the Villa goals would be disallowed. The only bright spot was Villa, Gerrard and their loathsome fans went out.

Think all this conspiracy nonsense is just that tbh... Its nonsense.

Are people honestly hand on heart saying that they think the refs and the FA are clubbing together to try and fix results in favour of a team who have done sod all for ten years! Give over!

The VAR system is still based on opinion and therfore flawed. Sometimes it goes for you and unfortunately sometimes it doesn't. I think sometimes when you're at home and the crowd are roaring, yes, it can effect referees but to suggest that a shit team of yesteryear are getting the decisions fixed for them is something off a school hard tbh
You clearly don't understand the business and money side of the game.

Yes, in footballing terms united are shit and a relic of yesteryear, but in terms of global commercial appeal and revenue generation they are still huge earners, for themselves and more importantly for the FA, the PL, the broadcasters and the media.

It's only the occasional blatant VAR decision such as last night that highlights the favouritism they receive, what goes unnoticed is the constant low level, insidious favourable officiating they receive in every game.

Well done united. You can clearly see they are making progress under wreck-it. Running into defenders while dramatically falling takes time to learn. Ralf has instilled a new form or cheating in only 4 weeks!

FALLING ACTION:
The events in a play that occur after the climax has been reached, but before the final part.

The farce continues…
