Must of been some intense negotiations going on,or do you think it was a case of....."just give him what he wants"?

Hmmm, what's most interesting is that Lineker is mates with Woodward. No wonder they are never criticised on his shows for their egregious transfer policy and shocking performances

I never mentioned in my post that David Moyes is or was a manager at that level. What I said was he should of been given more time to get it right because he has a style of play and his teams have an identity and if that didn't work then so be it. His was given a 6 year contract which was silly in the first place so why chuck him out after 6 or 7 months or whatever it was. As for his record against big clubs the likes of Everton, West Ham along with other mid table teams don't have good records against the big teams anyway, Unfortunately Moyes used to beat us a lot under Everton and didn't do much against anyone else bar the odd win here and there.

We brought in Mark Hughes basically to get us better and get us in and around the top 6, Followed by a better manager Mancini we had a to then get us Champions League spots and he also won us the title, We give again and get a manager with a brilliant record of doing well in Europe with lesser sides Pellegrini and then followed by Pep we had a process from day one...
Rags problem is the want it all NOW when they should of used Moyes as a stepping stone given him an opportunity to see where he could take them and then make a step up in manager to go again that extra step.
Rags are trying to do everything in one/two seasons and it's never going to work.
Could you ever see Moyes getting it right though ????? To me he is a decent midtable manager to maybe pushing for the top 6 anything else he gets found out ........... how many time did Everton bottle big games ??????
United should have gone for the best out there and with Moyes they never did and that was all down to Fergie and no doubt the same will happen to Ole .........if they would have kept with Van Gal or Mourinho they may have had a chance but they need yes men and Ole is perfect for it ................like Arsenal years ago they are a club run by owners that want a top 4 finish winning trophies doesn’t matter to them lot ...............

They tried going for the best out there when Pep was on a sabbatical. Old piss can Fergie called him up, Pep never returned the call.

I don't think Moyes would of won them a league title but I just think he was hard done by been turfed out after a few months, Plus it was Ferguson who recommended Moyes which is even more surprising that he was gone so quickly. Although the Rags were currently the Champions at that stage Ferguson knew what he was doing finishing up, He left Moyes with a pretty poor aging squad. As you said Ole is a yes man and that's what the owners want, Ole knows he's out of his depth and won't stand up to them or he will lose his job.
What is happening at United now is like than just needing a new manager it's a total revamp from the owners, board, manager, staff and players ect
They are so many years away from winning a title hopefully they don't go near it again in our lifetime, It too us 44 years, Liverpool 30 years...

That sounds like the derby when they carried on playing until they scored the winner - scheduled 4 minutes turned into 7 with Fergie in the fourth officials ear. The birth of Fergie time.
Piss-can time goes as far back as 92 with elephant man's 'cough' late, late late winner. Probably even earlier in that very season as Sky/FA were desperate for these twats to win the league that year.
