I watched the game this afternoon and it was a good game if you were a neutral. I'm not a neutral though, I'm a bitter blue and always will be :)
United played well at times, but given they've spent £1.5bn on that squad then I'd expect to see the odd good performance. Fair play to Ten Haag though, he's at least putting in a system and has found enough of their expensively-assembled squad to put round pegs in round holes. They are still miles behind us and Liverpool though. However, from what I've seen today they'll have enough to push for the top 4. They seem to me though like they are playing on adrenaline like they did against Liverpool. There's no way that way of playing will last a season, they will be exhausted at the end of it. You can't rely on huff and puff.
Arsenal were a strange one though. I actually wanted them to win as I feel if they can get a few points ahead of Liverpool it will pull extra pressure on them. They played a bit like us with decent possession, but I couldn't see why they would be top of the league to be honest. They looked so much like us that every time United hit them on the counter, they pretty much scored.
I thought Martinelli for them looked very good, he's a decent player as is Odegaard. Jesus was his usual handful, but never looked too dangerous. He looked like he did for us - lots of effort and being physical but without much threat. Zinchenko looked ok, nothing special.
It was a decent game and both teams have clearly progressed, but there's nothing to worry about from either of them. They are still a minimum of 5 years behind us.
