I watched the game this afternoon and it was a good game if you were a neutral. I'm not a neutral though, I'm a bitter blue and always will be :)

United played well at times, but given they've spent £1.5bn on that squad then I'd expect to see the odd good performance. Fair play to Ten Haag though, he's at least putting in a system and has found enough of their expensively-assembled squad to put round pegs in round holes. They are still miles behind us and Liverpool though. However, from what I've seen today they'll have enough to push for the top 4. They seem to me though like they are playing on adrenaline like they did against Liverpool. There's no way that way of playing will last a season, they will be exhausted at the end of it. You can't rely on huff and puff.

Arsenal were a strange one though. I actually wanted them to win as I feel if they can get a few points ahead of Liverpool it will pull extra pressure on them. They played a bit like us with decent possession, but I couldn't see why they would be top of the league to be honest. They looked so much like us that every time United hit them on the counter, they pretty much scored.

I thought Martinelli for them looked very good, he's a decent player as is Odegaard. Jesus was his usual handful, but never looked too dangerous. He looked like he did for us - lots of effort and being physical but without much threat. Zinchenko looked ok, nothing special.

It was a decent game and both teams have clearly progressed, but there's nothing to worry about from either of them. They are still a minimum of 5 years behind us.

The amount of folk on here writing them on after a few wins is laughable.
They have notorious form for these type of shenanigans. Soon they will lose again to Fulham, or someone else they should beat, and the 1958 committee will be back.
They are soooo laboursome.
Inferiority complexes built on decades of abuse, pal

I concur by the way but the ingrained shit thrown from these cunts isn’t easily washed away, despite the reality they are light years away from us

It reminded me of those classic United v Arsenal games circa 2010 whereby Arsenal would play good stuff with no end product.

I think United are undoubtedly better and the manager is a top class one, however. It's overlooked that he's inherited a squad that cost £1bn and has spent £250m this window. It's hardly the miracle Neville and Giggs are claiming it is.

They're competent, but if they played like that v us I'd expect us to wipe the floor with them. Within the British press the standards are so low and sycophancy is so high, they'll do whatever they can do herald United, until they lose a few and they back protests and champion lack of spending
Great post

No doubt Ronnie will be releasing a statement tomorrow on how he never wanted to leave and that the media were making things up about him.
It was always going to happen if they could string some results together.
It's all about the timing for this Ken Barlow of the utd soap opera

United looked like they did under ole and previously Jose. Yes they can get a result against a supposedly superior team. Kick and rush over a season is not enough anymore. City and Liverpool have raised the bar. Unless we both fall back into the pack, you would be foolish to back another team although surprises can happen every now and then.

Do they suddenly make up 25pts plus and we drop off our mean average with what we have this season? Can’t see it personally
