Their responses have been
  • City are making underhand payments, that's why the players don't leave. (except Sane, Jesus, Sterling, Zinchenko and Torres who left and Bernardo has been planning to leave for sometime).
  • Pep stayed at his beloved Barca only for 3 years, but it's been 7 years at City. (conveniently forgets the toxic environment at Barca and the freedom and trust he enjoys at City)
  • United at their pomp couldn't keep any players when Real/Barca came calling, but Haaland joined City despite interest from Real/Bayern/Barca/Chelsea etc. (Not sure how much the first part is true, but looks like United fans haven't seen interviews of Haaland and his dad ? )
  • City obviously cook the books, but have a legal team to defend it. (so having money to pay for lawyers is a crime ? )

There is an inevitability about City now that is like watching paint dry.
Haaland is not just the cherry on top of the most expensive cake in history. He’s more like a Teflon cow catcher on the front of a bullet train.
They have a squad that ensures any injuries are covered.
They have 100 million pound players on the bench.
With what feels like a bottomless pit of funds, when will it end?
There are no limits applied to City.
It’s like flicking through a Panini album where all the stickers have been bought. It’s there, it looks impressive but where is the joy? Where is the excitement?
Baldy is just a good engineer that has been given all the correct parts to build a machine. Running on limitless grade A fuel.
The Harlem Globetrotters were a joke basketball team. I see no difference in City.
Even the best racehorses are given handicaps.

Despite moaning about their US owners, when those same owners along with their other US mates achieve a critical mass that allows them to shaft us and the game itself they will all go quiet about them and say the 'restructuring' was necessary and justified because we've ruined football. At which point anyone who didn't realise they are just whining childish hypocritical twats will need no further proof.
