A nasty, vulgar bully who used his and Gill's influence to manipulate the rules of the game. A man who was apparently able to pick and choose which referee he would permit to enforce HIS rules, and HIS rules only. Any dissension in the ranks and you're out. Woe betide anybody whose opinion differed to his - this is a man who idolised Josef Stalin, don't forget.
A club that could -and did, frequently- outspend every other club in football history: if someone offered a million for a decent player, that foul obscenity of a club would counter-offer with 4 million. And that's how it was until Jack Walker splashed the cash at Blackburn, and Wenger turned up at Arsenal with a new footballing philosophy that put the dictator's nose well and truly out of joint.

When nobody can compete with your wealth, when every referee and linesman in the league are happy to sell their morals and their pride just so that the Govan tyrant might allow them back to ref another game, when every media outlet, every journalist and footballing pundit is happy to look away when your players commit GBH to opposing players without any legal retribution, winning trophies is a piece of piss.
It was the norm back then:

Nobody in Dubai will go near United or Liverpool, gentleman agreements with Abu Dhabi.

Meta and Amazon can't and won't.

It will be Ratcliffe at similar monies to what he offered to do at Chelsea, or an American hedge fund daft enough to put Beckham and Tom Brady as the figureheads.

Ratcliffe wasn't offering Chelsea any more money for transfers than United have already splurged, and he wanted to spread it over years.

He knows he can build up the asset with infrastructure spending.
Brady will be short of cash when the courts have done with him. He is being sued for millions as he promoted a cryptocurrency without stating he was being paid. In the US this is actionable at the behest of investors who have lost money…….and they all have this week. Billions down the pan.

Can we hold off throwing all our Apple products in the bin?

I’ve already forewarned the missus that her AirPods and watch will be in the bin if this nonsense happens.
It was one thing boycotting Sharp, AON, Chevrolet etc over the years, but Apple would be problematic in our household, to say the least. Everyone's phones would have to get binned for a start. For this reason alone, it mustn't happen.

Ahhhh its been a dream with the Ronaldo chapter of Man Uniteds riches to rags journey. I think that's it now though, all over. Ternhags seems to have them on track, its just a case of getting rid of the driftwood which tbh is most of the team. They're prolly about 5 season behind City.

Ratcliffe is able to do all of that. He’s loaded; from Manchester; is a rag; loves the glory.

I believe he’ll also be able to invest another billion on the rag’s infrastructure as its outside FFP ( not that FFP applies to rags of course)

Think he’ll be the only bidder at the price the glazers want & will get it all - sadly.
Never ever heard of sir Jim ratface before putting a bid in for Chelsea - after the sales deadline. Think he's worth between £5 -10b, so yeah rolling in it. But rich people ain't gonna sink their own money into the Urmston urchins.

Can see the rag leech getting a few pals together perhaps. However there'll be a huge reality check once the look at the accounts. The team's full of expensive underperforming players on big contracts, their manager barely plays the same sport as us. Their training facilities and infrastructure says hi to 1993.

The shit tip always has its upper areas blacked out on their frequent Thursday night fixtures, wonder why?

Then there's all the other stuff which has been rumoured about for decades. The cosy, cosy relationships with all media, the FA, PL and pigmol. That much influence can't be cheap?

As many here have said if you were super rich and wanted to spunk money on a football club, dirty Leeds or Everton would be a damn sight cheaper with a lot more potential.

Maybe there's loads of high net worth individuals around, but clean, non sanctioned and willing to lose their shirt on football club? The fact that both arse cheeks are being touted around is such bad timing.

Shame!

Not according to the BBC. Saudi royal family have given the green light to both rags and dippers. Ha ha

Yep, if he wants to do it he will put a consortium together, but that would be difficult to manage unless he can get a cheap price with an upside or the other partners are happy running it as a hobby.
