United Thread - 2022/23

What that poisonous excuse for a football club have gotten away with over the years beggars belief. Everything has been kept secret, hidden away from prying eyes: and as far as I'm concerned Sky/BBC/BT and the rest are complicit in whatever has been going on there.

One day, hopefully in my lifetime, the truth of what has been happening at that sordid cesspit of treachery will be public knowledge, and the resulting criminal proceedings will cause the club to go out of business - for good.

Contrast these two stories. The Telegraph is broadly correct and balanced. The SKY article presents this latest commercial disaster as a positive for United with no mention of the background context. Totally biased coverage from SKY as usual.

this should be is illegal and should not be allowed to happen because of the yearly revenue balance sheets will be false, but we know who controls the rules and how they make it up to suit them

Not just prospective sponsors but prospective buyers/investors who will see a major revenue stream become another potential liability to add to the debt and need for investment in players and infrastructure. Serious questions will be asked about what is going on in other aspects of their finances and running of the club?

It is almost as if the ghost of Peter Swales has returned to haunt them instead of us.
To loosely quote him, his goal was to make City the main side in the Manchester area....almost finished us off instead mind you.
